Thank you, Muse, thank you

Starlight may not be representative of "the best Muse has to offer" but it has done one thing: increased their audience in the US, which is one thing they clearly set out to do. And those Starlighters will delve into the older CD's an discover what an amazing band they are. I'm stunned that Starlight was the biggest audience participation song at Vegoose, would have imagined the Rage fans being into the edgier songs, but you must admit the Starlight Clap is a great way to get the crowd going! (Either that or it's some new STD I need to screen my patients for!)

 may I have some of that, please.

As always, ur right. I like Starlight because it's well, nice. Most of their songs are amazing but the occasional merely soppy / nice melodic tunes would still be welcome.

I can't get over the fact that Muse+ (the plus is for the Muse team) have been so proactive, forthcoming and downright cheeky when it comes to fans.

So, being already in a mushy mood because the first advent is coming up, I'm going start a thread of thank yous... no banter, no pornographic pics or debates of about songs and music, just a simple thank you thread for everyone who cares that Muse are around.

:musesign: Thank you Muse+ - for being so great to your fans.

Thanks for resurrecting this thread, Kuutar. I was going to add a post to thank Muse for answering all the questions posed by Musers. Very few bands are as interactive with their fan base as Muse are, and they need to know that we appreciate it!

Glad this thread exists... we sometimes take for granted how awesome Muse are to their fans, and in light of thanks for the 'Muse answers sessions', I'd also like to extend thanks to Kev, Muse's management an everyone else involved for sorting it all out for us, from the (slightly tedious) voting stages that were made much easier for us whiny gits (:p), to the actually getting our questions answered by the band part - it's a simple idea but has made us all very happy that we were able to interact with our fave band this way.. and it's certainly given us plenty to talk about up until the release of the new album, however far away that may be.. so, yeah, thanks everyone, including our fave troublesome trio, teh Mooze.. much appreciatings! :D

Thank you Muse,

For bringing beautiful music to my life every day, for giving words to my feelings, and giving me the opportunity to lose myself in a sea of fellow fans at your gigs.

You give me the closest thing I have to a spiritual experience.

If this embarrases you, deal with it :p

I only hope that I can create something as amazing one day.

I wish you as much joy in your life as you have given me.

All my love,

Lauraxxx

One wonders if it was worth it selling out to get the Starlighters for all the damage(Twilighters) it's done.

Why are you even on the Muse webste if they are such "sellouts"? So Muse are sellouts because, like so many other people, Stephenie Meyer was inspired by thier wonderful music and wanted to share her love for the band with her fans? Typical elitist snobby attitude. Matt surely didn't write Starlight with the thought of "hmmm, how many stupid Americans are gonna fall for this song? How many old fans can I alienate with this!?" So because a band makes it big off a song that you think is poppy and not OOS they are sell outs?

Anyway, I digress, Muse is wonderufl and keeps me going every day. I turn people on to them all the time, sometimes they like them, sometimes they love them, some times they are not thier cup of tea, but I made the effort! Muses' music is inspirational, beautiful and heartfelt! Thank you for that! Bring on the new album! :p

And a belated thanks for our Christmas gifty!

is it that late? Just got around to sending one to my dad today, too :$ My excuse, I didn't know where to do it, tried looking for emails and snail mails first , then thought of looking for a thread like this

So to Matt, Dom & Chris, & everyone involved in the production, thank you for the most fun screensaver ever, and a sensual delight of a video.

And as a relatively new fan ( American radio sucks!) , I also want to say thank you for all the amazing music. I think it has a lot of good chi, I have not found that as consistently in any other music I listen to. Your music has transformed my yoga practice; I can feel energy moving through me like never before and am much more aware of my alignment. When I'm listening on my mp3 player at work, which is often! I have a hard time not dancing through my day. There are other small ways my life has changed for the better since I started listening, but I'll just wrap this up now with a big THANK YOU and looking forward to the new album and hopefully a U.S. tour.

Not all American radio sucks; TheEnd in Seattle plays Muse once every hour or two, which for the US is great. A couple of the DJ's are major Musers, including the music director, which surely helps.

Amen to looking forward to the new CD and tour. A US tour will surely happen---maybe I will see you at some of the shows, Epona99!

I just quickly scanned through some of the pages in this thread... it was most enjoyable! Although I must admit reading about everyone's amazing Muse experiences does make me feel immense pangs of jealousy.

Your day will come, and then you will be thanking Muse too!

(I do LOVE your avatar!)

Yeah, but not for us poor souls in Hawai'i. Hawai'i is in the US, too!

:'(

I second that!

They've gone to Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia before. Maybe they could do a Pacific Rim tour next time around. And since we're in the middle of that rim, maybe Honolulu could be the final stop. ;)
