Hat Posted April 22, 2016 Share Posted April 22, 2016 Wasn't Matt originally set to sing the heavier Liquid State, but then the band decided to let Chris sing both? It'd have been interesting to see Matt's vocals on that song in particular The only thing I'd ever read was that Matt didn't want to do them because the songs were personal to Chris. When Chris first played them the songs Matt was like "I'd love to sing those!" and no one questioned it because he was the lead singer ofc. It was when they went to record the album that Matt changed his mind and told Chris he should sing them because he'd feel weird singing songs which were obviously very personal to Chris.
