I liked the lyrics when I read them but they feel a little forced in. And I don't think I can get on board with the chorus. Actually the singing in the verses is even really similar. Edit: Also I know it would've been really short, but I think this should've ended at 3:10. Feels weird and takes a little life out going from the multiple riffs back into the chorus then back to the same riffs for the fourth or fifth time. The lyrics are somewhat awkward but I happen to relate to them pretty well right now so I appreciate them for that haha. But it's the kind of song that if someone asks who my favorite band is I'm embarrassed to say Muse if this is all they've heard. Edit: that damn bass riff in the chorus though. This is going to be THE radio song for this album. Think about how Uprising and Madness are still played on the radio when there isn't new Muse around. At least that's how it is in America. That explains it lol. It's the backing vocals in the chorus for me. If that melody was a synth I'd probably like the whole song. But as with alot of Muse songs something really tiny ruins the tone of the entire song for me. Same with TC, if the whoa-oh vocals in the chorus were replaced with the synth version of the same melody in the intro of the song I'd enjoy the song a lot more.
