It's sleek and slick and Princey, in a good way. Not the greatest thing they've ever done, but a great addition to my summer soundtrack. It's kinda good, then kinda bad ... gospel reminds me of George Michael "Freedom" U2 is in there, Queen... then the guitar break, yeah! And then? No song for me, but it could've been worse. The chorus is totally Freedom, it's the first thing I thought of when I first listened to it. It's grown on me, and I like the layers it has leading up to the end. I'm just really confused why you guys bother anymore. All thst comes through on here is negativity and it sucks. I'd love to be more active here, but its a real cesspool.Except you clearly don't spend any time here since you missed that the general consensus here when T2L was released was that it was better than The Resistance, and that the tour was one of the best they had done in a long time. Then Drones came and that got mixed reactions. The Handler and Reapers were universally loved, Dead Inside was loved by loads of people, Psycho had a lot of fans even though many considered it to be too long, and people were anticipating the live debut of Defector for months. And it's kind of hypocritical to come here to complain about negativity, only adding to it. It happens at every release. A third is love, another third is hate, and the final third are people hating on the hate. Because that sure solves the problem. All you're doing is adding to the negative vibe you're experiencing. Matt is singing quietly and in an easy range, like in Madness, and Chris is harmonising a bit higher. Morgan's adding another layer of vocal harmony and playing across a few octaves, probably a pad or strings. Dom's playing a fairly relaxed beat as well.
