Hat
That's honestly how I feel the audience at most gigs would look if it weren't for the 360 stage.

Much As I enjoyed the whole 360 thing (to my surprise) I must admit you're right
fam201
That's honestly how I feel the audience at most gigs would look if it weren't for the 360 stage. This. One of the main reason why I'm looking forward to the 360 stage being gone again.
BlueEyedFloozy
Yeah. Much As I enjoyed the whole 360 thing (to my surprise) I must admit you're right Same here. I rather liked the 360 stage because I felt I got a fantastic view of the band, but I could hardly see the screen and while the crowd was pretty raucous it wasn't like that! ryanp16
T2L stadium tour was my favourite stage set-up.
Boogles.
T2L stadium tour was my favourite stage set-up. Yes! I loved the Unsustainable tour's stage. Probably my favourite setlist out of the 3 Muse shows I've seen.
serpentsatellite
The lack of a proper screen really empties out the stage in appearance. Despite being their most ambitious arena stage most of the time it looks like their sparsest. This was exactly how I felt about the tour in general. Most of the gig actually felt like there wasn't anything going on. Plus, you were staring at the people in the seats the whole time. How awkward was that? Remember the Handler visuals with the carousel on the screen? That was fucking amazing.
Jobby
Remember the Handler visuals with the carousel on the screen? That was fucking amazing. It really was, I can attest to that. Muse might not like doing the conventional but end stage + big screen is hands down the best way to go for them imo. Maybe with a couple of thematic props/decor ala HAARP, L/R '11 and the Unsustainable Tour if they really have to. They have some amazing visual work that adds a lot more to the songs and overall show (without becoming distracting) than actors, 'drones' and dildrones ever could. I think the perfect setup would be T2L stadium stage with the catwalk, but the small 2nd stage should be a tad bigger. Just enough so Matt and Chris could play a song or two on it together, with enough space for both.
kueller
The motion tracking could still work with a basic stage too. [YT] [/YT]

serpentsatellite
I don't think there was really anything that couldn't have been done with or adapted to an endstage except the flying stuff, but then again, that was Matt's whole reason for the center stage. I can't say it wasn't cool, but I don't think it was ENOUGH, tbh, to justify how sparse the rest of the gig felt. Globalist was the only song that really made use of the stage fully. serpentsatellite
Not sure where this originated from, but confirmed, I guess. https://twitter.com/NeKKhab/status/742614192042172416
forevermusic
Interesting. Wonder what it all means for any future gigs, provided any actually happen.
ryanp16
Interesting. Wonder what it all means for any future gigs, provided any actually happen. The Iceland gig is an arena gig, but it's after Russia so I guess we'll see then.
serpentsatellite
Presumably means just festivals until the break, I assume Oz has some later in the year? Oh, and no more US dates, but even though that was twice a "maybe" I filed it with every request except Jobbys.

Interestingly, despite the obvious drone photo on the announcement page, it's the only non-festival tour to NOT mention "drones tour" specifically, or to have that blub about the 360 stage. Did they have the 360 set up during the ticket sales?
titoufou17
Yeah the tour was already launch when they've announced the iceland date. I think it will be a classic end stage like in asia/south america
serpentsatellite
Not the easiest site for me to attempt to navigate, but the seating chart on the venue website appears to show an end stage. I think...
White Heat
That place is not even an arena, they already played there in 2003, it's just a big hall.

forevermusic
How were the T2L tickets sales in Oz, anyways? Not as strong as on The Resistance Tour - on that tour they sold out 2 Brisbane and Sydney dates while those ones had one night in Brisbane and Sydney. matthijs
I really liked the stage, but it was really not suited to please the standing crowd. I sat, the view was great and the visuals were excellent. No feeling good helped too
DifferentPerson
Managed to get barrier last night! No big surprises (though CE was great) but at least it wasn't the same set as the London gig I went to I guess.

I was a bit sad it was so pianoless, but at the same time happy it didn't have feeling good.
