I'm all for more Abso songs on the setlist. Bring them on! :facemelt:

Stockholm syndrome is one of those rare songs that no one can complain about. It's not rare, but it's awesome enough to deserve a permanent setlist slot. Even at its most lackluster, it beats any song on the next three albums by a LOT. So of course it is gone

Seriously Muse, if you're tired of Stockholm, rotate it with something that at least approaches it in live energy. Hyper Music, perhaps? The Small Print? In Your World? Anything is better than closing your set with Starlight like on the Unsustainable tour, but MWAH into Knights is getting really old. :indiff:

Tbh I've said this before but if they continued New Born the way it was played last year (Speed, matt playing the intro, etc) I'd take it over today's Stockholm. Granted, Stockholm is still killer live but it's definitely lost it's oomph over the years. I'd still take it over a lot of the alternatives though.

But Stockholm + Agitated should ALWAYS be a thing. Absolutely lethal combination live.

No way, it was the second best part of the shows I went to in Dec 2013. The first was when they played B&H.

I was really disappointed when they replaced it with US for the next few shows, which isn't even in the same league.

Replace Agitated with Reapers to close the main set. mews pls

Nah, not for me. New Born was mega live last year but Stockholm is always on another level. I'd say the only place it's noticeably deteriorated are with Matt's sometimes meh vocals (#givechris'iwishicould') but it's so massive instrumentally that I don't even notice when I'm there. Only other songs I can think of that've been on that level are Hyper Music and B&H. Maaaybe Dark Shines but I think that just falls into the tier below.

That said, I wouldn't exactly moan if I got 2015 New Born instead, if they were to be rotated.

Years later I still love that aural assault of guitar and bass chugging, thrashing drums, Matt and Chris crooning, and then it's juxtaposed by gentle piano and a synth arpeggiating off into space. Gets me every fucking time.

Bliss is a similar story.
