topo_musero
Noo it was fantastic. The guitar is way heavier as well. The same with Mercy. The chorus saves it. That's good to hear, it's all about the sound mixing in the pro-shots, I suppose
diamond_writer
If I think about it, Revolt does sounds like a Killers B-side (props to whoever said that on the album thread) but if I take out the fact that Muse did it it's a really fun song. I may in fact love it.
BigGeorge
The initial shock if it being a Muse song is just way to much for some people to handle, which is completely understandable. But if it popped up on my radio, I wouldn't change the station.

Citizen Erased 01
The chorus is worse but I still find the verses to be really dreadful. I really struggled with the vocals all the way through the verses the first few times, they genuinely seemed to offend me for some reason but better on repeated listens for me, now just vaguely ok as opposed to horrific

LewisF
I heard "machines and drones" You're right. I must've spelt it wrong and it was spellchecked. Edited now. But anyway, that line
Anonymoose
So we know this will be a single but do we know when?
Gareeh
If Revolt was on 1989 I would've considered it one of the weaker songs. I think I somewhat agree with this. If Revolt was on 1989 I would have spewed
OriginofAbsolution
What's funny is that Revilt isn't abalone to stream in the U.S. on Spotify right now.😂😂😂😂
HyperNova99
I waited a long time with listening to this song and by reading all the comments i expected something far more worse! I don't get the hate, it's a decent song for me. Just the chorus is a bit of a bummer, the part where he sings 'You can revolt' should be more powerful and uplifting in my opinion, now it makes me think of U2's 'With or Without You' to much. The verses are really fun though. But that's all my opinion!
Old Man Pigeon
This has gone from a 3/10 to a 4/10 because the iTunes version I now have sounds much better than the rip we got from the leak.
Hopix
I'm liking this. Super fun and upbeat, it just works as a pop song. And the tempo change is where it's the fuck at.
James91
How this managed to go from being my least favourite song of the album to one of my favourites in the space of a few days, I'll never know. The song is so uplifting, and the 'trapped in a maze' bridge... I love it.

The song is so uplifting, and the 'trapped in a maze' bridge... I love it. Seems like most of the songs on Drones are growers. Except The Handler, for me. In Ryanbows
I also realized today I like Bad Blood by Taylor Swift. Clearly I have problems. and I don't think you can solve 'em

JessicaSarahS
I understand this and this is why I am so disappointed with the song. I feel the lyrics and tone belittle the supposed enormity of what the protagonist went through...Revolt is supposed to be a battle cry for others to be the same. It should be strong, powerful and uplifting. Instead it sounds weak and completely loses the power of the first half of the album. I agree. I'm starting to come around to this a little as a standalone song, but it is really disappointing on the album as a whole for this very reason. I don't want to stand up and revolt to this song. I want to bust out in a dance number.

kueller
Assassin goes pretty well before or after Defector (better after) but doesn't fit musically or lyrically with Aftermath. It needs something in between.

kueller
Replace Mercy with Ruled By Secrecy. #FixDrones Although that's even worse in musical flow.
alibros
Revolt doesn't need replacing. If defector had better lyrics Defector -> Aftermath would have been just fine both musically and conceptually.
