serpentsatellite Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 They didn't play Dead Inside until the day it was released. I'm still thinking they aren't going to, just because I want them to so bad.
jonisdead Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 They'll definitely play Mercy. It's out Monday. Doubt it. On another note, given Muse have had heavy openers, have heavy festivals/gigs scheduled for the summer etc... based on their setlists and what they've heard, do you guys think they're living up to the much hyped "heavy" return of Muse? Or do you think that we still have yet to see, since we've only heard 4/10 album tracks (not counting Drill Sergeant/JFK)?
kueller Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 Since there's gonna be so few of you might as well open it now to chill. Won't make much of a difference anyways. Live gig chat if you care is #muse@rizon

I think most people are going to be seriously disappointed with the way it was hyped up. Remember Yes Please + Agitated "that's what the new album is going to be like" and the whole "its gonna get heavy" tweet. Then later the mixed bag comment came out and that was my first red flag.
serpentsatellite Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 It's already heavier than the last album, I suppose. Also, no songs sounding like Yes Please or Agitated is a huge bonus, and I hope it stays that way. Although, I think I do remember that Psycho riff used after Agitated, iirc...
kueller Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 It's definitely a heavier album, but people took that to mean it would be a damn metal album or something.
Redwingsrock Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 It's definitely a heavier album, but people took that to mean it would be a damn metal album or something. This. Muse only have a handful of what I would consider "heavy" songs in their entire catalog (i.e. Assassin, Stockholm, Agitated, Dead Star). What I was expecting from this album was the return of guitar driven songs, which it sounds like they have delivered on, in my opinion. Also, is there going to be a chat for this stream like there was last night?

DramaQueen. Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 Christ what is up with the angle of this stream. This. I expected a bit of variation of camera angles, it's been stuck on that one a good while Still good audio quality though
DyingAtheist98 Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 Set thus far : 1.Psycho 2.Dead Inside 3.SMBH 4. Hysteria
aleluman Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 "It's not a good time allthe time, that's the general vibe here" holy shit
Stewez26 Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 I hoped the fact it hadn't turned up in any other setlist so far meant maybe it wouldn't return, well then
heyjackk Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 I hoped the fact it hadn't turned up in any other setlist so far meant maybe it wouldn't return, well then my hopes exactly
projektxtal Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 this was always going to be a more "radio friendly" setlist. At this point i'll be surprised if they even play Reapers
Jobby Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 To be fair, did you lot really expect anything else? This set was always gonna be mostly hit-focused. On another note, Matt's vocals are sounding pretty on point tonight
AguanteRiver Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 Resistance! I guess they finally realized they're back in the US and reacted accordingly. Well, my minuscule hopes of hearing Hyper Music are back down to zilch.
