napanuod ko na 2 last 2 years ata....sawa na ako dito..hahaha..pinagsasawaan ko ung USoE... ganda ng piano nun eh... nakita ko na din mga profile nila ..almost lahat...haha...tgal na kasi eh...kaso ala pa rin concert...haizzz...buti pa paramore nagconcert..pero mas magaling muse live.!!!

 

Ayoko ng Paramore... Too mainstream for me. (no offense sa mga Paramore fans, I don't hate them I just don't like them. They're good I know, they're just not my style )

So inisip nila di nagclick d2 yung kanta nila.

I'm fully expecting the worst... but hoping for the best. Though... remember when people were saying the song "Resistance" would be shit after hearing the :30 sample of it? Then it turned out to be not such a bad song after all. I'm trying to hold judgment until I hear the whole thing. The :30 sample of NSC does not bode well, though.

Which thread was this, the NSC thread? I kept seeing disappointed status updates or comments from my Muser friends about the clip earlier today. I seriously only saw one person who liked it. But maybe that says something about the Muser friends I have.

Oh, it's the PMT thread. I just apologized about it a few minute ago. All of them said "It's so cool!" "So awesome can't wait for it!" "I love it!" and I'm the only one who just popped in and said it's cheesy and they all replied at me like... they don't agree or something. I was just being honest though... I'm just a regular PMTer and I didn't expected the replies... I haven't checked the NSC thread yet.

im gabriel... i was surprised that there are many fans of muse in the philippines but not enough to make muse tour here... muse is not famous here in the philippines...their music doesn't appeal to filipino masses...but still.. im hoping for their tour in the phil.

marami din fans ng muse pero hindi nila alam na may ganitong thread pala dito tulad ng mga kaklase ko... pinsan ko...haha..wala lang. sino taga UST dito?

A ako kaya ko nagstick in sa Muse dahil mix of rock and electro sila. Eh yung dalawang yun ang favorite kong music genre. No, for the most part, they haven't been choosing different songs every night - that's the whole beef. Check out the Resistance Tour thread and catch up on what you've been missing. MK Ultra was only played nine times (out of 20-something dates) the entire North American tour; Ruled by Secrecy was played only twice; and they only played Bliss once.

 

Here's where I've been getting the statistics for the tour. Notice on many of the gigs, it says "see (this place)" - meaning they've been recycling setlists. Musefail.

I think so. Japan has a humongous Muse fanbase. Try mo siguro sa record stores, maybe they sell shirts there? Sa HMV sa Singapore nagbebenta sila nun kaso wala nang sizes nung naghanap ako uso kasi hahaha

 

KoC is phenomenaaaaaaaal live. Nakakalungkot nga lang kasi pagkatapos nun wala na. Pero nung tinugtog nila nagwala na talaga ako sa pwesto ko. I made that promise to myself ever since I saw a live performance of KoC on YouTube years ago.

 

I fell in love with Undisclosed Desires upon hearing the 30-second preview. It's still my most played track from The Resistance. I'd really love to see Muse go in that musical direction. To hell with all the haters!

 

I'm excited about the Stade de France gig. IBTY will be part of the setlist! Matt should sing Mon coeur s'ouvre à ta voix, too, or I will join the French people in kicking his ass.

It has a KoC-ish element that I liked very much and Matt's voice is still great

I don't think blaming Twilight is accurate, though Twilight is the medium through which many more people found out about Muse. Matt wrote that song right after he broke up with his long-time girlfriend, according to an interview. And Muse has been on this trajectory of music for quite some time now.

 

To me, it's a new low for the band in terms of the quality of the songwriting. Poorly written lyrics mixed with a concoction of recycled stuff from their past songs ("Snowflakes in the ocean" instead of "droplets"; KoC rhythm during the verse; cheesy USoE-reminiscent intro). It's not so much because of Twilight as much as where Muse is setting themselves up in their careers, really.

Sorry for not being active anymore. I still love Muse, but my obsession has taken a much-needed vacation. It got too tired after my massive hype following the Singapore gig. I long for new Musey stuff that will bring it back home.

 

That Neutron Star shiz didn't impress me much. I haven't even found the drive to see the video. I hope that it's not going to be the direction they will be taking in their next album. (hmmm. More UD-ish tracks, rather? A Lady GaGa collaboration, maybe? Hahaha!)
