I like it but it's definitely not something I would show off to my friends.

"Hey man, have you heard the new Muse record?! This track it great"

*My mother, my father, my brother, my puppy, killed by Droneeeeees*

This is actually the only track I showed off to a friend yesterday. :p But he has particular taste.

I have showed it to a few of my friends that are into this type of music and they enjoyed it.

I actually think this is quite well put together and doesn't sound too auto-tuned, if at all. I'm pretty sure all the parts are Matt's voice, apart from the very end where there is something mixed very softly way below Matt's range.

Although there is something very dodgy in the mix at 1.48 that stands out like a sore thumb, once you hear it once you won't be able to ignore it.

Seems like this might end up like Hoodoo. People start off disliking it, but it slowly starts becoming a cult classic among the more well versed Muse fans.

I took people's advice and today, listened to it and The Globalist back to back as one song, and they're right, it really does work in that regard.

Good point, when BHaR came out I thought Starlight was miles better than Hoodoo.

Now however...

I really like the style of this song but it's just a bit of a mess, composition wise. It could have worked really well as an album closer, but as it is, it sounds more like an after-thought. Maybe that was the intention, I don't know.. but I wish they'd put a bit more thought into it.

Can someone explain how this is genius? :)

Here's what I made out of the lyrics

Killed by drones

My mother, my father,

My sister and my brother

My son and my daughter

killed by drones

Our lives between years and ties

Trigger and your lies

Have you regret?

Can you feel anything?

Are you dead inside?

Now you can kill, you're safe

Now you can kill

From the safety of your home

With drones

Amen
