helenhysteria Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Im hoping they do another online stream a week before the album comes out... Give us some extra time to learn all the words before Download and other festivals
HomesickSubterranean Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 yeah I'm not sure if it would be another single necessarily that would be released before the album but March 23ish to June 8th is a long time to go without any new tracks. I reckon that'd kill a lot of the hype..
PlugInYorkie Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 So we know how long the track goes for. That's a start...
-FutureStar- Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 How long is Reapers? 5:30+ going by recordings?
FabriPav Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 ..? We were talking about studio versions length
kueller Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Oh only Dead Inside has length. Fuckers Well, that coul've answered the question on whether the outro was there or not.
Redwingsrock Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 I still think it's gonna be a cheesy love song. I would actually be OK with that.
That Little Animal Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 I still think it's gonna be a cheesy love song. Based on the title and the place in the narrative (The subject must end up "lost in the wild" and disappointed by love to end up in the claws of Psycho's drill sergeant) it is likely that it'll involve some kind of heartbreak or abandonment. But that can range from cheesy love song to angsty emo, to anger. I don't expect it to be a very sweet and lovey dovey ditty of positivity.
Alexander DeLarge Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 I'm curious whether Reapers will have Matt's guitar pedal wankery on the studio version.
jonisdead Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 I'm curious whether Reapers will have Matt's guitar pedal wankery on the studio version. Considering each solo was exactly the same on both nights? Gee... I dunno

It'll be a love song alright, except along the lines of Hysteria. Odds are the person the protagonist loves ends up killed by drones and has to run to avoid them, ending up "lost in the wild" and wandering into/joining a military camp to survive.
Spectrum IV Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Listed as 4:23 on iTunes. Animals is also 4:23. What does it mean??!?
jonisdead Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Animals is also 4:23. What does it mean??!? Something about Muse fans being animals at other gigs but dead inside at Muse's

Odds are the person the protagonist loves ends up killed by drones and has to run to avoid them, ending up "lost in the wild" and wandering into/joining a military camp to survive. could potentially be expanded to everyone he loves has been killed and that's why the individual has joined. I think the song may start off sad, as if they're grieving and then develop into angry and aggressive. or not
Citizen_Eraser Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Considering each solo was exactly the same on both nights? Gee... I dunno Lol exactly. Also the amount of people throwing out the term wank/wankery. Buzz word 2015. Its the first time Matt has done a lengthy solo like that barring Dark Shines. Stop complaining.

Its the first time Matt has done a lengthy solo like that barring Dark Shines. Stop complaining. The main solo was a high point in the track. I think the fact that the song is so solo-heavy makes it harder to stand up tall live compared to their other songs. Solos by virtue are kind of flimsy since it shows more virtuosity than anything, and Matt's falsetto doesn't do much (live) to hold up the chorus either.

This solo is a bit out there, if the album version is a little tighter i think it'll be great.
