bbgunn34
I don't doubt Matt, yes he clearly has his cheesy moments but lyrically he can be pretty brilliant sometimes we're still talking about the guy who wrote Sing for Absolution, Ruled By Secrecy, Cave, Eternally Missed, Glorious, Yes Please, Shine, Hoodoo, You Fucking Mother Fucker, City of Delusion, Space Dementia, and Showbiz... Clearly his recent albums have seen more cheese than Packer fans, but let's hope we can see a spark of those shrooms out young Matt lyrics on this next album (:
Alec Ferris
That would probably be worse. I just can't see Silberman writing anything big, punchy and angry. Though I don't know who I'd suggest instead.
rickdiculous
Every lyric by every band in history of music is stupid.

Hopix
I actually like a fair deal of Muse's lyrics, but it's because I have an active imagination in an abstract and artistic sense. Hoodoo's are up there generally as best lyrics for me.
FabriPav
I just can't see Silberman writing anything big, punchy and angry. Though I don't know who I'd suggest instead. Pretty sure he could write great big angry lyrics if he wanted to.

Sirthas
Personally I've always considered Hoodoo's lyrics to be the best Matt ever wrote

Alec Ferris
Pretty sure he could write great big angry lyrics if he wanted to. I get the feeling that it'd just seem wrong, somehow. Silberman's writing has such an intimate feel, particularly.

Jimmyneutron
The lyrics have only gotten worse in the past two albums. They're mostl alright on the first four.
Alec Ferris
The lyrics are pretty weak on a lot of Showbiz, I'd say. It's a very adolescent album though so that's to be expected.

HannahG123
Still think it's ridiculous that Hoodoo's lyrics somehow became objectively good to the whole fanbase. but he missed the opportunity to be a better man doesn't that blow your mind

RiverMuser
Fucking hate being a Muse fan in the US. So jealous of all of you ticket buyers right nos.. Hopix
Where are we? When are we? Why are we? Except Exogenesis has the best lyrics on the album along with MK Ultra.

That's just the prejudice you have Silberman's writing has such an intimate feel, particularly. Yeah, because that's what he want to portray! 6:15 0615!! Alec Ferris
I agree with Hopix on that. Generally, the obliquer Matt is, the better his writing. Though I don't think he could take it as far as Isis, for example (the only example I have to hand of an album about surveillance, and the lyrics on that are really sparse too). Bumpypotato
I don't even listen to the lyrics half the time, so as long as they're not too blatantly terrible I doubt I'll notice.
