PlugInYorkie
they asked a bunch of artists to do artwork with just the title to go by, hence lots of different stuff. Oh ok, I see! So then they just picked the one they like the most?

PlugInYorkie
That's cool, didn't know that. They should have let the fans submit album art and picked the best one for 2nd Law as there were some pretty great designs.
Clunge
Like their music videos, most of Muse's artwork has been terrible. Origin era wins by a considerable margin for me.

kueller
I've generally liked most of the Muse artworks. I even liked The Resistance cover (which seems to be controversial based off a few posts some pages back).
FabriPav
BH&R artwork is actually my favourite.
Boogles.
I like Absolution's and always have done. A friend of mine did a painting of the shadows for me and it's been a good wall piece since.
PlugInYorkie
I'm leaning towards Resistance for best artwork now! It's a nice cover and was used as the screen display for all the apple iPods in magazines over here in Australia funnily enough
The Resistance
BH&R artwork is actually my favourite. Ditto. It is quintessentially muse to me.
ArtsyChick
I like the Abso & TR covers, but my favorite Muse art of all are the singles from BHaR. I made the Starlight lady my phone's lock screen. I just hope the artwork for Drones isn't *too* creepy. I like dark themes, but I'd want something subtle if I'm going to have to look at it a lot. Maneachicken
The artwork on the inside of The Resistance booklet was great and really worked with the way parts of the album sounded. In terms of singles, the Uprising cover is one of my favourites, but I always have liked when bands have linked their artwork across an album cycle (I'm thinking Cokdplay's A Rush of Blood to the Head era). The Resistance didn't really achieve this, should've been either all in that first style or all something else. I didn't get the coloured Hexagons for Resistance or Undisclosed Desires. As well as a good cover I'd love subsequent artwork to make sense in the 'bigger picture'.
MartianSpaghettiRider
Thank you so much for finishing my theory. I came up with that a while ago on the meaning of it, never could figure out what the other men were. I do really like it as well. That could be easy: the shiny, golden Horseman represents greed and luxury, while the one wearing lateral blindfolds and with religious symbols printed all over his white suit represents (obviously) the blindness in front of the real truth provoked by religious dogma. FabriPav
The Uprising cover was the only one not fitting with the rest of the style though, right? For the record, the BH&R cover is my favourite but I'm not really a fan of the singles' artwork.

It didn't fit but I really liked it - as much as the other singles' art were in line with the style if the rest, the hexagons just seemed lazy if you think of the rest of the art in the booklet. Tobiiiaaas
My favourite artwork is probably Absolution and The Resistance, I really connect with those ones on an emotional/creative level

Yeah that's true I guess. OoS had the best artwork for singles imo. The Bliss one is my favourite.
Clunge
The Megalomania one in the OoS booklet is best. The Chaos factory .

Is that the blocky looking one which almost resembles the start of the video where Matt dives off the edge of the centre of the 'planet'? It's brilliant. Guest
I'd rather see these sort of discussions than non-stop bitching. It's better we go off-topic whilst there's no new info on the new album.
