To be fair Crowella did that to the Animato used market too.

And the guy designed the Deep Impact is about to do it to the Deep Impact.

I'm not sure if I follow you. Is he intentionally doing this? Like... what the developer of flappy bird did, where he had to destroy it before it took on a life of its own?

Not intentionally. He is just doing it because people asked him to and it's profitable. But it's certainly a by-product.

Asked him to publish the schematics? Wouldn't that mean less profits as everyone is building their own?!

Everyone can access the schematics of the deep impact. But it was the programming of it's microchip that was the issue. He designed so obviously had the codes and recreated the sound using purely digital systems. He has made his receated version into a pedal called the Future Impact 1. And since he has ownership of that design and the pedal design, he is currently profitting from it's sale.

Aaaah there you go, that makes sense thanks. How cunning of the lad.

Go capitalism!

Yeah they only work with the SDFX ones as far as I know. I have a spare if you're interested at some point, but I've never actually tried it with the PDF

Cheers for the offer, I'll let you know if I decide I need more parametric filtering in my life :ninja:

Does anyone know of anywhere in the UK that can print up a couple of custom nameplates for an amp and cab? I've been checking out options and they're almost all US-based, and the postage is a killer, or UK-based and specialising in large runs.

I imagine you may be hard pushed in the UK to find many established companies that will do made-to-order nameplates for amps specifically. But wouldn't you be able to get something from a general purpose engraver/cutter? I don't have a name to drop unfortunately but it may be easier to go for a more general search and ask for exact requirements when it comes to order?

No, it's as good a start as any. Thanks!

It might be worth asking musecasters or rust_relic, as they have a sign writing business, so they might know someone who can print nameplates and stuff like that.

I was thinking it may be worth contacting the forum craft kings  I had no idea they did sign writing as well so that sounds a great path to take.

Also, many balls rolling for me at the moment, may have some interesting arrivals within the next few days :ninja:

I was hoping the tracking on the OC-2 would be a bit better than this on the low strings. Wouldn't be surprised if I opened it up to find a piece of coal...

Yeah I had the same trouble with CoalC-3, you could get away with some chords on the high strings but anything more than one note progressions lower down sounded like a pack of bears throwing rocks at each other.

YES that's the exact sound!

Also, I did a bit of research (about five minutes worth) and found this. Seems like a good alternative to the EHX and can be powered on standard 9v, rather than that ridiculous 9.6v thing.

They literally just listed one on reverb about 45 minutes ago as well, and they're out of stock everywhere else.

And of course, I bought it.

The end.

Managed to nail the tones from Dead Inside, Psycho, The Handler and Reapers so far with my attempts on tone matching for the Axe FX - rest of the album will have to wait until I get back from the UK..
