Because they didn't ship to Australia I used shitpito, thinking that it would just be the standard FedEx rate I pay for guitar imports (usually around $80 to $120). This thing is going to cost me upwards of $350 to post to my home down under :/ for the $700 it's costing me now I could have bought it at home with no paint defects. I inspected it pretty carefully and I don't see any issues at all. Maaaaybe a tiny scratch on the back, but its hardly noticeable. I don't see any screws to remove the knob, so I'm not actually sure how to take it off to tighten it? Does it just pull off? I tried pulling a bit but am scared to pull too hard.... It does say manufacturer refurbished or whatever, so it's possible that the finish has been repaired. And you have to pull these ones off. Looks much cleaner than my blemished one from Musician's Friend. Mine has a good chunk of finish missing from the lower bout under the control cavity. EARTHWORM JIM Posted November 21, 2016 Share Posted November 21, 2016 after finally getting a black Cort MBC-1 i have been looking at the red sparkle which is great but i can't help thinking it should have had a fender style bridge instead so it could be modded for an xy pad, it got me thinking i wonder if they will release new versions? i'd personally love to see a 7 string version and one with a Floyd rose! either bomber or son of delorean body style. they'd be pretty easily doable and it'd be great to have a few different options to choose from! They still do the proper MB/DL/DR/etc signatures, so I'd imagine they want to keep those a bit unique as well.
