Pine-apple
Which are the best Muse albums to have? I haven’t got many and am thinking of buying more. Just looking for your feedback about whether there are any good albums out there which you should buy?
Dee3Dee
Just get all of them and decide for yourself. Most people seem to prefer the trio of Origin of Symmetry, Absolution and Black Holes and Revelations.
Tim59
I'd suggest The Resistance or Black Holes for your first album. Assuming you know them from their more recent songs, I wouldn't jump straight into Origin of Symmetry.
manxmuser
My first choice would be Black Holes and Revelations, followed by Absolution and The Resistance. The HAARP (Wembley Stadium) and live in Rome DVD's are also a must to buy!
minnie
Black Holes was my first Muse album and it took me a couple of listens before I loved it. The HAARP video just blew me away!!:D
Hat
BH&R or Absolution. I'd suggest The Resistance ew. ew.
Jobby
The HAARP (Wembley Stadium) and live in Rome DVD's are also a must to buy! 'A must buy' is probably the last thing I'd describe Live At Rome as.
Tim59
BH&R or Absolution. ew. ew. It worked for me At the time it was the most out-there thing I'd heard.
Hopix
'A must buy' is probably the last thing I'd describe Live At Rome as. This. Easily the worst live release Muse have ever done. Get HAARP or Glastonbury 04 if you want a balanced representation of the band.
ryanp16
HAARP is way shitter than Rome.
kueller
They've never done a live release I've disliked.
Con101
Well it's all subjective. HAARP has a better setlist and has the old Matt without the whole no-guitar thing. But Rome is up there with the best they have ever sounded live, there's a good case for saying it is the best Matt has sounded live vocally. Plug in Baby alone is the best live version you will find. Hat
While I do agree that Matt probably sounded the best during the Rome gig (out of the live-dvds they have), I'd still prefer a gig with songs I really like and performances that I feel for. Rome lacks so much in feeling for me, and I get bored even before the first song is over. And I really don't think it's the best they've ever sounded in general. nerd herd
If you've not got the Absolution tour DVD I highly recommend that.
PlugInYorkie
Just get everything. What kind of question is: "Are there any good albums out there?" Do you live under a rock or something? Not sure if this post is serious or not.
FabriPav
Maybe OP doesn't have enough money to get everything. Do you live under a rock or something?

Not sure if this post is serious or not. Look, the post very much suggests that the OP is a casual fan, who is possibly only here on a whim in the form as "Hmm Muse have a few good songs, I should check out some more. The message board will probably be able to tell me which albums are best." He obviously either doesn't want to or can't get everything and wants an opinion from people who are obviously hardcore Muse fans about what he should get, which is fair enough if you ask me. PlugInYorkie
Maybe OP doesn't have enough money to get everything. Do you live under a rock or something? Since when do you need money to check out a bands music? Again I ask...do you live under a rock or something?
PlugInYorkie
Just get HAARP if you are on a budget. Gives you the jist of how great a band they are live. If you've got a bluray and are a casual fan than checkout Live at Rome. The visuals are amazing and the performance is solid. Album wise go for Black Holes and maybe try Absolution. Spectrum IV
Try before you buy. YouTube is good for this purpose. Muse are a well-known band, so you can find all of their albums as videos: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=muse+full+album Alternatively check out the official channel if you just want the singles: https://www.youtube.com/user/muse/videos

Also: OP, Black Holes was the first album that I fiercely got into. I'd say start there or work your way back from the album which the songs you like are from. That'd be my advice. PlugInYorkie
Weren't you moaning at Tjet and Fabri in another thread for exactly this type of attitude? Hypocrite. Hardly. There's a big difference between "moaning" and making a valid observation. I have no problem with Tjet. He actually contributes to conversations intelligently. Don't even get me started on the other guy... To be honest I just thought it was a silly post but I offered my advice all the same...
