Hat Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Sing for Absolution with Morgan on piano. So basically no different from how it's ever been played?
Alesi08 Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 So basically no different from how it's ever been played? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GhoMAhS84NM Edit: Not like that.
Tom//P Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 (edited) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bISsdeGgI00&t=4m11s (4 mins 11 sec) I've always liked this little addition of the guitar to the final chorus of SS. It's nothing impressive from a technical point of view but I think it sounds pretty cool. ------------- And when they used to play this riff at the end of MotP. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QvSn0qm9Bzk Edited October 27, 2013 by Tom//P
Spectrum IV Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 Sing for Absolution with Morgan on piano. SFA either in a lower key or with no high notes. NOT BOTH.
matthijs Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 So basically no different from how it's ever been played? I love being able to say you're so horribly wrong http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3QKOBOWryCo
jacjens Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 I love being able to say you're so horribly wrong http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3QKOBOWryCo I really don't like the guitar version of S4A. Studio version and Wembley 2007 e.g. are much more enjoyable to listen to and in my opinion it's the most beautiful song Muse has. ... with Ruled By Secrecy and Exo 3.
The2ndwub Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 let the truth be known life just carries on and when your dead and gone ill still feel your glow Let the truth be heard True love is absurd And I'll leave Just to feel your glow <3
FabriPav Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 Those lyrics are much worse than the actual ones.
Nipso Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 So basically no different from how it's ever been played? Everyone! Light the beacons! The day has come! Sippe is wrong!
Zolic Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Definitely (and yeah, it is a G) Isn't it a G#? EDIT: Wait I forgot it was transposed, nevermind.
Matt's Jawbone Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 Citizen Erased played with the thumping intro on Hullabaloo, and at the slightly faster temp too. Makes it sound so much more livened up. Also, New Born being played at the same pace it is on the album. It sounds so lethargic nowadays. Hysteria played with the BIB outro.
Finn. Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 I like when Muse play the songs with guitars, or piano, or instruments.
Regilistic Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 Basically when Matt actually plays his guitar/piano parts instead of wandering around the stage and calling it "interacting with the crowd." Take Starlight for example http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2FIR4Z0INfE
Clunge Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 The guitar versions of SFA are so much better than the 2007 piano ones, so much more power.
Jazzthief Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 The guitar versions of SFA are so much better than the 2007 piano ones, so much more power. What? The 2007 ones had both - piano AND guitar.
matthijs Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 Is there even a proper recording of S4A with piano?
Clunge Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 What? The 2007 ones had both - piano AND guitar. Correct. But they sound piss thin compared with 2003/04, even with both. Plus, Matt didn't really bother with the vocals in 2007.
Jazzthief Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 Correct. But they sound piss thin compared with 2003/04, even with both. Plus, Matt didn't really bother with the vocals in 2007. Well yeah, Matt's guitar tone was a bit shit in 2007, but nevertheless I like the sustained notes. The vocals are lazy indeed. The piano/guitar has the potential to be the best.
Jazzthief Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 The piano sounds very uninspiring... what it's half the song for me.
matthijs Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 On album: yes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x_-d4H4Vrbo Boring.
