first thing I've noticed - he changed his watch

That interviewer greatly annoys me, but he does manage to get good, interesting interviews. I know that sounds contrary. Mostly basing that on his interviews with Biffy Clyro that are so nosy and personal it makes me cringe.

I actually thought that was the least cringey interview I've heard in a long time. Usually every interviewer makes me cringe. Possibly because this one just asked the questions and then shut up, just like he should.

This interview was much less invasive than others I've heard where he's done the opposite, like not shutting up, but rather just keep prying until it's uncomfortable.
