FingerFud Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 Somehow the volume and treble pots on my Vox amp broke. I know they need replaced but do i have to buy and install the exact same pots for it or can i just install other ones that i can get from Ebay?
FingerFud Posted March 22, 2013 Author Posted March 22, 2013 It would need to be the same rating and value. How would I find out?
FingerFud Posted March 22, 2013 Author Posted March 22, 2013 Get a multimeter and measure it. I dont have one :'(
james90 Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 Are they labeled at all? and don't electrocute yourself now.
FingerFud Posted March 22, 2013 Author Posted March 22, 2013 Are they labeled at all? and don't electrocute yourself now. I'm not sure James. And i wont
james90 Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 I'm not sure James. And i wont Well the voltages in amps can kill you, even when they're switched off. If they're not labeled, maybe see if there's a schematic, as that should have the values listed edit: both are 50k linear taper from what I can see
Dave. Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 Contact the manufacturer. They should be able to supply parts or at least point you in the right direction.
