Muse Talks About Live Show “Madness” & How Matt Bellamy Might Become An American

There's actually been multiple mentions of it in interviews, going back years.

One in particular that got brought up a lot was, I think, around BH&R, and the interviewer mentioned Matt mouthing off to security, and being taken aside.

I'm pretty sure this was the UK side security.

The more recent one I remember was just him making a comment that they still do it, even though he says he's visiting his son.

Honestly, with all the crap he's said about 9/11, and goverment in general, he's lucky he's not on the US cavity search list.

If Matt is still getting pulled aside at airports, he must be on some sort of list due to what got him pulled aside the first time. Getting an American citizenship won't change that. There are plenty of American-born American citizens on such lists as well.

Also, it's more difficult than ever to get American citizenship. Even if you marry an American, and/or have an American-born child, you don't get automatic citizenship with that. You still have to go through a protocol.

I've been pestering my boyfriend to move somewhere warmer with me, so I can actually work an outdoor job...and that's exactly what he keeps telling me.

"NO! The South is full of republicans!!!"

It can't be THAT hard to get citizenship... we have a family member who married someone she met overseas, and he has to be literally the stupidest person I've ever met; he did just fine.

I will give Matt credit for being smarter than this person. :p

But yeah, it doesn't get you off the cavity search list.

It will just make it easier for you if you're ONLY being hassled because you're foreign. Which also does happen all the time.

parts of the south are hardcore republicans. If you move to bigger cities in the South with big diverse population they are more liberal especially cities w large known Uni's. You will always come across some conservative who doesn't know what they're talking about and says something ignorant about politics and current events. It's more laughable and entertaining than wanting to provoke an argument or debate w them.

And Republicans. :noey: I wouldn't live in that God-forsaken state if you paid me.

FL is a large state. You've probably never lived or visited here but quick to judge bc what you've read or seen in the media. Stop watching Fox News.

There are Conservative Republicans here and everywhere in this country not just FL or the South in general. My county (Hillsborough) is very diverse and has pretty much voted democratic as the population has been growing. I know some republicans here and they have never harassed me or judged me for my views and I don't judge them on theirs though I do take jabs from time to time.

FL has beaches, sunshine and theme parks. The few assholes you run into aren't worth getting uptight about when you live in FL that has Ft Lauderdale/Miami/ The Keys/ Sarasota/Orlando and the Tampa Bay Area.
