However, it looked like the intention was a sarcastic swipe at me, when I was simply making an innocent comment about a happy photo. I may have misinterpreted that but that's what it looked like. It was AMAZING, awards won or not! I dunno why but I didn't realise they'd be opening the show, so when I saw three figures in the dark backed by instrument-bearing shadows right before they were about to play, I just went maaaad - all the way through that eargasmically EPIC performance! I didn't think they could take the concept of epicness to a new level but they absolutely did. It was outstanding! I paid £70 for that five-minute performance alone and it was totally worth it. Call that crazy, I don't much care, I'm very glad I went cos I won't see anything like that from them again. The rest of the show was just meh, and I was proper pissed that they didn't win an award at first - especially best live, and especially after the brilliance that was Monday's Shep Bush gig, which I'm still spaffing about cos it was one of the best Muse gigs I've been to - right up there with RAH - but I realised it's just a silly award show. Muse don't need a prize to prove they're the best live band on the planet All the awards were a bit so I didn't take any of it seriously.
