gKimber Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 At the moment I'm planning on getting there about 2ish as thats the earliest I can check into the hotel :/ Once that's done I'll probably be mooching down the road to the Etihad with a friend! Wouldn't mind forming a little 'pack' for the gig though!

There are people that will be there that I know, depends if I can be arsed finding them, I suppose it will be good by myself, not having to look after/stick around with people, I can just do what I want

musedan Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 True that! Well I'll see you there maybe Where abouts were you stood at the Ricoh? If you were standing... Just wanna know what time you got in the queue
gKimber Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 Where abouts were you stood at the Ricoh? If you were standing... Just wanna know what time you got in the queue I joined the queue to enter through the southern entrance about 4pm or so - at this point the queue was still relatively short I felt (However: come 4:30pm or so the queue really started to pick up!). When we entered you could have easily been at position B on my edited diagram of the stadium (on either side)! However after going for some food and drinks following Dizzee Rascal we made it to point A for Muse's set (not my choice I might add!) I'm planning on being somewhere close to around the barrier for this Saturday That said though: being closer towards the catwalk would probably be a good choice if you want be more up close with the trio as they did spend a lot of time on it!

Thanks for that:) and Yeah I was thinking if I was on the barrier at the front, when they're on stage B they will be miles away, I'll just wing it on the day I reckon

I'll probably want to have a cheeky beer when I get there (if its sunny ) so i doubt I'll make the barrier itself but there is probably more benefit in being in between the two! Your plan seems sound to me!
JaHawk2009 Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 Due to a last minute decision, my family are now attending the gig. But they are on Row Z. In the upper tier. So I'm gonna be lonely in the pits. How is it being in the standing area alone at a stadium gig?

How is it being in the standing area alone at a stadium gig? I can't imagine it would be too bad. You won't have chance to get lonely, you would be too busy jumping around too care
HannahG123 Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 Me and my family are getting the train down in the morning so will probably arrive around 2/3ish (I don't have a clue to be honest) and then once we have checked into hotel will probably have a nosey around the place as my mum went to Manchester uni and me and my sister have never been there. I will be tweeting as I go so look out for me and I may bump into someone will be wearing my muse jumper all day of course
hypermusic Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 Caved in and bought a ticket for this, really hoping to see either bliss or dead star. Getting pretty excited as the 2010 LCCC gig was insane; if the energy is at that level again it'll be amazing.

Can't wait
Libitina Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 (if its sunny ) In Manchester?! I'm aiming to arrive about 2 or 3pm. I'll be with my son in the queue, but will probably end up on my own in the stadium.

Of course if I get barrier I won't care, but I don't wanna end up lonely and bored for Bastille and Dizzee
Libitina Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 It's been really nice today for some reason. My in-laws (who live in Lancs) will be in shock then and probably have sunstroke. I think the weather forecast atm is for showers.

Steven_K Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 Been a lovely day here in Manchester today. Lets hope for the same on Saturday. I'm planning on getting to the stadium around 3-4pm and when gates open at 5 we're just going to try and get a good seat. Getting far too lazy for standing around for about 4 hours waiting for Muse.
Uccellino Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 Are the supports Bastille and Dizzee for Manchester?
