Exactly! Kinda leaves you feeling unsatisfied and expecting more, i thought they were gonna come back on and blast Dead Star/Fury :(

Yes.. When those house lights turned on... :(

And Chris says in the program thing that he like's Fury... Getting our hopes up much!

I majorly fell during knights.. and an ankle so swollen it looks like its about to give birth. Worth it.

I was at turnstile J on Saturday, one lady did number people and we were lining up 2 person per opening, but she didn't make it clear how the system worked to people at the back so it turned into a chaos.

On Sunday I was at Turnstile K, got my hand numbered. Then I heard people complaining some late comers just parked themselves at the front.

The lady who started the numbering system disappeared so I volunteered to number people and to organise the lining system.

Once I explained to people how it worked everyone seemed to be happy and queued orderly in 4 lines. I stopped number people after 4.30 as we all stood up getting ready to go in. I had a word with security about our system and warned them some people might try to rush to the front.

I hope the system worked well for all the people who came early and got numbered.

Karma worked, my thankless task got rewarded- Matt gave me a pick.

I'll probably get criticised for this, but dont really get all the complaining about moshing. I was in some and out of others over the 3 nights i went (admittedly last night there seemed a lot more of it), but they're not that hard to avoid if you want and at something that kind of size you aren't losing that much of a view by moving a few feet away or whatever

At the end of the day one of the biggest rock bands on the planet, right in at the front, especially playing songs like Knights/Stockholm...its going to be a bit crushed with jumping/pushing/moshing etc etc

Agree the queuing was a bit of a disaster as well. Kind of funny how it worked out though, like on the saturday I was in one that just became a mass of people waiting round, then yesterday a perfectly organised line right up to going through

Wasn't in the pits this time but I agree with you. Everyone going pretty much knows what to expect and reading earlier posts about seeing kids in there, well to be honest it is no place for a kid up the front unless they were to go all seater at the shows (and I'm sure nobody wants that). As you note, the pits are easy enough to step in / out of anyway - it isn't like anyone is sacrificing a barrier spot by moving away from the pit.

The weekend was amazing, thanks to Muse. Both nights were out of this world, though I think last night comes out on top so far. Can't wait for next Saturday, but then also a little sad as it will be my last show, hope they do something for their anniversary next year...

I've got pretty close to the barrier for the three nights, last night was the wildest crowd, was just epic.

Someone complained on Saturday because me and my friend started moshing to Knights ffs

We went in the seats on Sunday, the 4 girls in front of us must have been the most pointless wastes of a ticket ever. 2 of them looked utterly distraught at the notion of having to stand up for the show, the other 2 apparently came along to see Madness. They all cleared off before Plug In Baby. Happily the rest of the people around us were up for it.

As for complaints about moshing to Knights that is laughable. The first commandment of a Muse gig is as long as physically able you shall bounce along to Knights! Was a pretty amazing sight last night from the seats when it all kicked off, first time I've not been on the floor for it.

Last night's gig was awesome. Butterflies is Muse's best live track that I've seen. Even after Dead Star and CE.

Me and my mates were jumping around to Stockholm, and some bloke (in his 30s) made a comment like why do you have to jump around during songs. :stunned:

Another great gig, perfect way to spend a birthday. I was at the b-stage barrier today, which had advantages and disadvantages. It's probably a lot better on the side where Pip was (leaning against the barrier that looks towards the stage) as opposed to where I was with the barrier being behind you when they're on the main stage. It made it kinda hard to see sometimes. However, when they come down onto the b-stage, it's absolutely incredible. One of my favourite overriding memories from yesterday was watching Hysteria right in my face with the sunset creeping through the gaps in the stadium roof. It was just spectacular.

Loved last night, despite having to take unreserved seating rather than queue early and join my kids at the barrier cos I was ill :( The atmosphere queuing was great with socialising and impomptu performances from talented Musers. I did get seriously sunburnt though! I am a massive Map and B&H fan, so when they started the soundchecking I was awestruck  Then we got them live too :facemelt:

I fucking love Guiding Light :D Sang my heart out to it both nights

Me too! GL was the absolute surprise for me last night, I really never thought I would see it live and I loved it!! Mind you, in the unreserved seating I was a lonely jumping and swooning mess!

Fucking boo to all the people at the back talking through the Butterflies solo. I may have screamed some swears

OMG, I would have turned round and screamed at them - like I did to the shitty people behind me who totally spoiled Unintended and Blackout :(

Karma worked, my thankless task got rewarded- Matt gave me a pick.

Well done to you, how fantastic!!

Really? Why do people bother going to gigs, especially standing, if they don't want to jump about, sing and have fun? Pathetic.

I LOVED the whole experience yesterday - despite the crappy queueing fiasco. I was poorly, so didn't make it to the early queue - but my kids did and got front barrier and loved it, which made me happy on their behalf. I sat in the unreserved seats and was probably the only one who freaked out and made a fool of themselves the whole time. I was pretty much alone in my jumping, clapping, singing and screaming and pity everyone around me when B&H started and I screamed so loud that they all turned around and stared at me - not that I cared I was just :facemelt: :'( :D

After the gig we had to suffer 2 hours of finding a cab, but we were all so high (not drug high btw!) we didn't really care! Awesome, best of the 3 I have been to so far. Can't speak properly today, and bizarrely my hands hurt from all the clapping!

You got Hysteria last night? Bugger, could have done with that on Saturday.... still, it was all good apart from the usual complaints, Undisclosed, Resistance, Guiding Light... Dead Star more than made up for it. Anybody going to Amsterdam?

I'm going to Amsterdam :)

what a night! Just want to say the woman at turnstile K who organised everyone - what a hero! We were there from 5.30am and she made sure no one was gonna jump in ahead of us. Think it would have been chaotic without her. Also think we were the first turnstile in, we had like a choic of anywhere to stand, was epic. We were at the B stage barrier facing the main stage so pretty good spot. And to the man and his daughter who we were with most of the day, we didn't even get your names! :$ but what a day and a great set :)

I heard someone saying that it was always crazy after games at the Emirates Stadium. But it is true that it was quite a challenge to get back home!

That is indeed quite weird. If everyone looks at the stage without moving, singing, accompany the music by clapping etc it is boring for both the public and the band.

Yet for yesterday’s moshing I keep saying it was too much, sorry for those who are offended. I've been in pits with moshing without having the craziness of yesterday. And I loved the ambiance of those gigs, loved the way people were singing, jumping, shouting, etc. It was just perfect!

I understand that mosh can mean energy for some, but it can also mean blatant aggressiveness or getting hurt for others. So please, don't be narrow-minded and accept some people don't like it, but enjoy all the rest of the pit experience... (this being directed at "go seated", not even saying that mosh needs to stop)

That was genuinely one of the best things I have ever witnessed :D Wasn't intending to be so far forward, but since we arrived early we managed to get about two rows from the barrier on Matts side. I thought the crowd were really into it there, lots of jumping around, singing along etc - lots of fun to be had!

That was so fun. So much glow stick fun was had.

haha, if you were by barrier on Matts side then that was our glowsticks  were you the guy randomly prodding my friend with a glowstick? haha

Thought it was a great setlist, been waiting to hear songs such as butterflies and hurricanes and sunburn for an age, so glad we got them. Of course all the usual songs were great, knights, tiro, pib, stockholm, need I go on? was lovely to hear blackout as well, thought it sounded lovely (and the lightbulb was pretty darn cool) , unintended was pretty nice too. Obviously it would've been good if they had split up some of the slow songs, but to be honest I quite liked it because it was a breather for me  The only bits I thought were a bit odd was the woman during feeling good, didn't think that really worked. Same with the random coffins during UD Quite liked the banker during animals though / the muse money :) Starlight wasn't as bad a closer as I was expecting, obviously something heavier would have been better - but since we knew it was the last song I think we all just screamed our lungs out at the front

And of course as usual the lighting , pyros and visuals were as good as always, I liked how the stage was pretty stripped back but still looked extremely good :D Only thing I will say is that the bass during dizzees set absolutely killed my ears (standing right in front of a line array set of speakers) he was slightly better than expected (still not amazing though really) , was pretty impressed by the 1975 though, they seemed to take to the stage well for such a small band.

Anyhows - until next time

Get seats or stand at the back, it's a rock gig.

True.

Me and 2 other musers (who were staying at my gaff) missed the last tube and got pretty stranded!

After the gig, we walked to Finsbury to get some food before joining a tube queue (mainly standing was an issue for me as i don't my ankle in). Last train westbound was at 1120. 50 mins after the gig ended. thats crazy! And we were going to Hounslow. had to Haggle the fuck out of a taxi, luckily between 3 of us it wasnt so bad!:)
