Hat
I think it has more than TR. Would like more of on the next album though. Hmm yeah you're probably right. I always think of Uprising and Resistance as electronica heavy songs since it was my first impression of them. Neither of them has very much of it though. I think with songs like Madness and Follow Me on T2L, both including large doses of electronica, the influence of electronica sizes up quite big compared to songs on TR like Uprising, Resistance and Undisclosed Desires. KateCheers
When i first listened to the whole album, i cried, because i was overwhelmed by its perfection. I can't say anything bad about it, I love every single song, especially after the tour. Particularly Unsustainable, Madness, Follow Me, Isolated System and Animals were live mind-blowing. Explorers is one of the most beautiful songs that have ever been written. Panic Station is just brilliant. Supremacy is epic. I love Survival, too bad Prelude is so short. Big Freeze is wonderful. And Save Me & Liquid State are live amazing. The whole album is a masterpiece of art and I can't get enough of it. I think Muse have never been happier, I can feel that when I listen to The 2nd Law

dontask
Considerably better than The Resistance but I think, if they stopped trying to sound like a stadium band, they could make something really special again. As a side, the tour has been vastly superior to the last arena tour. Top marks.
Jetro
Survival at times felt like a parody of an OTT Muse song, for instance. OTT? What is that: over the top? Also, The 2nd Law is quite slow in some ways. Only Follow Me and Liquid State seems to be really upbeat.

Kittyrules
I just thought the 2nd Law was awesome. I love all the songs in some way. When i first listened to it i was a little upset, becuase i didn't think there were that many guitar bits. Not like BH&R. After listening to it heaps on replay and understanding each song, i really hear all the guitar. There was a guitar magazine that interviewed matt, and a question was "where are all the guitars?". My intial reaction excactly. Now i love it
Dawnflame
When I first heard Madness I was disapointed. But then I listened to Survival and loved the song immediately. So I kinda had mixed feelings when I had a first listen. But when Supermacy started I was already hooked again. It has some downers like Save Me, and I'm not a fan of Explorers, but overall I really like this album. Songs like Panic Station, Survival, Follow Me, Liquid State, or Unsustainable have me dancing, head banging and singing along every single time. buddah26
First half of the record is amazing. Second half... not so good. Except for closing track, it is completely forgettable IMO. I like the "electronic" feel of the record, but beyond that and a hadful of tracks it is not so good. Hope for the next one they revise OOS and Absolution for cues. serpentsatellite
I always thought OoS slowed down at the end, as well, tbh.
