VIP tickets

So no one has an idea if the VIP package may included a meet and greet? Because I have less than 8 hours before the presale and I need to make a decision!! If there's no meet and greet then I'd rather be front and center on the floor like the last time I went :D

Going by the description of the package, I would say it's not very likely. But I don't want people to come back and get pissy at me for talking them out of it. I would go in with low expectations and a what you see is what you get attitude and don't buy witht the expectation of a m&g, but for the other "goodies" in the package. If they do show up, then yay! But it really doesn't seem like it judging by the package descriptions.

Yeah, there's no mention of a meet and greet anywhere and I'd doubt that it would be something that the promoters would forget to mention. It seems like the only reason to pay this much for the VIP ticket is because of the guaranteed location in the first 10 rows of first level seating, but anyone could get one during the general ticket sales.

Doesn't Metallica do this for some of their fan club members or something? But they actually get to meet the band before the show too.

no no, its all speculation at this point, no one has the right to get pissy with you :p Ya, I think mentioning the m&g would be a higher incentive to buy the package, so they would have mentioned it.... floor tickets it is then!! :D

Since the VIP ones state they are reserved in the best seated sections, I would say no. The seats next to it would also be reserved for the VIP ticket holders.

Also, it's different from band to band.

From what I've seen from other bands, it could be free snacks and standing in line for one state, and a meet and greet in another, for the same price.

So, it's entirely possible there's more to it, but I'm not willing to pay for it unless it was stated up front.

This. I have confirmed though, that if you buy more than one VIP ticket at a time (say, two for example, as I may), that they're next to eachother.

Any idea whether the tickets will be despatched to the billing addresses or they will be kept at the box office for collection ? that will call thingy is quite mystreious !!

It looks like VIPs are automatically will calls, meaning you'll have to bring your receipt, ID, and card used to purchase to the venue in order to pick them up.

What's the "on site event host"? I know there's no meet and greet. for now

Someone that helps you and the group of other VIPs around and is available to answer questions. They function as a tour guide of sorts. They will probably take you from the merch table to the pre-party or the other way around, then back to the show. I had one when I did a package for Puscifer. He helped us get our tickets and passes, told everyone the rules since we were doing a soundcheck/wine tasting/merch purchase, then escorted the group between those events and back into the show.

Ah, cool. Did you have any interesting experiences?

It was really fun! It was great to see the band acting silly and comfortable during sound check, and the event host was hot :eyebrows::LOL:. But the event was pretty straight forward. I did get an amazing seat out of it- 2nd row dead center. And I got to meet the band afterwards, but that was unrelated to the package.

We did the same thing for A Perfect Circle last year. I think the host may have been the same guy :) Maynard even popped his head in during the wine tasting and said a few quick comments, thanking us for the support, etc. That was an extra bonus as there was no mention of any kind of interaction with band members aside from exclusive soundcheck. The entire Pit area was seated - really small, maybe 5 rows? And all the VIP people were in there.

I think those tickets were a flat $200 a person, which is still less than the Muse thing, and from all that I can see had way more appealing perks.

Yep, I'm pretty sure it's the same guy.:$

Oh and the Puscifer/APC packages had autographed stuff. The description for the Muse poster doesn't specify if it's autographed or not, but it would be great if it is!

So, to make sure I understand, VIP is seated? Not just a special GA area? I already bought tickets for the Tulsa show, in the stands to appease my husband who doesn't like the pit, but I am going to at least two other shows and wasn't sure what the GA situation would be like. In my head, I'm picturing a worst case scenario - a VIP area taking up most of the GA space. I've been to eight other Muse gigs, seven of them in the pit. But Muse have never done a VIP thing before. Can anyone clue me in as to what to expect as far as VIP getting in the way of regular GA?

As far as I know the VIP allocated area is in the actual seats.

The "VIP" seating tickets are completely separate from anything on the floor. You get almost no "bang for your buck" with Muse VIP tickets. No guaranteed "meet & greet", and no "preferential" positioning on the floor. Just snacks, a cash bar, and first choice merchandise. THE biggest thing you get is early access to the venue, which only helps if you buy a GA floor ticket in addition to a VIP ticket. Granted, there's STILL no guarantee of anything. That being said, I have bought both a VIP AND a GA floor ticket for IZOD, New Jersey. The idea is to have early access to the venue at the time the doors open, and to hopefully get a position the barrier. But who knows if it's going to work or not! I will post on the board what happened after the show and let people know. (April 19th). Could be the biggest waste of money on earth for all I know! This is very likely the only Muse show I will ever attend. Quality over quantity, I say. :D This is why credit cards exist!
