*OoS* Posted May 31, 2008 Posted May 31, 2008 If they did, I could safely I would die of sadness and depression No, really
Blissful*Blackout Posted May 31, 2008 Posted May 31, 2008 I hope Muse never split If they did i don't know what i'd do i don't even want to think about it it's so... depressing. I think Matt or Dom would do what other dude from nsync or w/e did and try to go to outer space. i could totally imagine matt going to space for real! Dom could start his own colorful musical pants factory.... ? and i guess Chris would settle down with his family.
Fayth-in-Flyght Posted May 31, 2008 Posted May 31, 2008 I think the issue we SHOULD be looking at here is if one of them dies
Sarah.Plug.In.Baby Posted May 31, 2008 Posted May 31, 2008 If they did, I could safely I would die of sadness and depression No, really + 1 i allready feel like ive missed out by not knowing about them sooner if they split well like you said Cause of Death = Driven insane by my own depression :'( im going to leave so i dont even have to think bout it anymore
Johanna Posted May 31, 2008 Posted May 31, 2008 Cheer up. No-one's going to split up quite yet. The main thing is Muse is going strong at the moment and started to work on new music. It's the present time that matters! If everyone starts to think of the future (in few years) and the day when Muse comes to an end eventually, that is just depressing. Muse still exists. And will do so for a good few years. Don't panic.

*OoS* Posted June 1, 2008 Posted June 1, 2008 + 1 i allready feel like ive missed out by not knowing about them sooner if they split well like you said Cause of Death = Driven insane by my own depression :'( im going to leave so i dont even have to think bout it anymore I'd die Enobarbus-style lol *oooh, go scholarly knowledge lol*
blackhole2super Posted June 1, 2008 Posted June 1, 2008 I wud hate for muse to split up. It would be the end of the world IMO. Well muse are working on new stuff so thats all that matters at the moment.
Megglen Posted June 1, 2008 Author Posted June 1, 2008 awwww *hugs* i am sure it won't happen until they are too old and fat to make music anymore Just on that point... I thought of Van Halen when you said that, if you look Then (1980s): Now  Pretty funny! I think they may just decide that they'd better start being with their families more and probably not tour as much or only have an album every about 3-5 years! Something like that.
Black Cherry Posted June 1, 2008 Posted June 1, 2008 They'll just get crapper and crapper and become more irrelevant until you're embarrassed to admit to liking them or have to add the disclaimer 'Well I only really liked the first 3 (or another number) albums before they went shit'. Let's face it, it happens to everyone else, why should Muse buck the trend... sad but very probably true....
Johanna Posted June 1, 2008 Posted June 1, 2008 I hope they break up before they become Scorpions vol 2 lol. Naah I believe in their music writing talent. Matt is a genious imo. He's a unique songwriter. I doubt he'll start making shit music.
Charlotto Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 I think the issue we SHOULD be looking at here is if one of them dies That would be even more tragic
Iddy Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 They wont break up until they become fat on Matt's pasta and have grey hair
janine Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 They better split up in stead of taking other bandmembers, that wouldn't be Muse anymore. So yeah, I prefere splitting more, cause new bandmembers isn't just Muse anymore, some weird fuckers in it
_Kayla_ Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 I hope they don't split up, but i think it won't be for a while anyway
Hysterical_Fan101 Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 That would be even more tragic and permenant
CydonianPaul Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 hm.....it might happen one day i guess, at least not for at least a decade or so though, they'll probably only split if they decide to call it a day if they become musically irrelelavant or if they had a major bust up. Thing is, they all strike me as musicians who could easily carve out solo careers like Gilmour, Waters etc, or, they might just age into a rock leviathans like The Who, as wrinkly but still amazing live rockers lol

If they did break up, I think they should leave it at that. everyone would be comparing them to their old stuff. However, if they do manage to stay as good as they are, for a length of time comparable to the length of time the stones or the who have been around, it would be easier to explain to my future children why they are the greatest!
thecitizeneraser Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 It may happen one day. In fact it probably will; most bands eventually break up unless you end up being like the Rolling Stones and lasting for about 80 years. And to tell you the truth, that's not really a good thing. Matt would probably fall and break a hip or something. But for now, they're in the golden era of their success, I think, and they've still got a lot more creativity left in them to pop out a good number more of albums.
frog princess of cydonîa. Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 i think Matt would go solo, Chris would play drums in another band.. and Dom.. nah i just can't think about it OMG NOO!
Black Cherry Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Thing is, they all strike me as musicians who could easily carve out solo careers Can see that with Matt, but not really with Dom or Chris.... they aren't the songwriters in the band after all.
LucasC813 Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 I think the main reason they would split up would be because Matt and Chris would be starting families that they want to spend time with and wouldn't have time for Muse. And they could get into some arguments with Dom. It'll be great if they keep making music for many years until they get bored/too old for it. Maybe they'll follow in the footsteps of Radiohead.
