AzizanW Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Do you guys think that Dom is using a twin pedal or double bass near the ending of Supremacy? It kind of sounds like it
kueller Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 I don't really hear anything that sounds like a double pedal
AzizanW Posted October 7, 2012 Author Posted October 7, 2012 Listen to it at 3:56, the equivalent of a guitar solo part
kueller Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Listen to it at 3:56, the equivalent of a guitar solo part Kick drum's on the off-beat. Could easily be done with a single pedal.
AzizanW Posted October 7, 2012 Author Posted October 7, 2012 It sounds like a slide or heel toe actually, but done so rapidly and in succession like that, well, it's quite hard to get with a single, takes a lot of practice, so a double would be so much simpler
Bumpypotato Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 I don't see why it would be necessary for a skilled drummer.
Anxyous Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 He may well be using one, but he's not playing faster than you easily could with a single.
AzizanW Posted October 7, 2012 Author Posted October 7, 2012 Makes sense, thanks for clearing that out!
Patchey Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 The song doesn't have of any fast pedal work, aside from the part at 3:56 which any half decent drummer could play. Not even the heel/toe technique is needed.
Arcade Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 its easy to use a single bass pedal to get a triplet feel beat doing heel, toe and slide in a single movement. really no need for double bass pedal unless you want to train your weak foot or are in to thrash metal. warm up first before trying it.
Hopix Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 I doubt he's using one. Have you guys seen the outro of Stockholm Syndrome live? That's gotta be around the same speed and he does it with a single pedal.
