As long as the orchestral stuff is kept to a minimum I don't mind at all. I think if a muse album was stripped away too much to just guitar bass and drums it wouldn't really feel like a muse album.

 

I agree. also i think it will be pretty minimum. this is probably why they do it now and haven't done it earlier, i guess. might be about 1 or 2 songs.

could still very well be a stripped down song ( i don't know, i would love hearing acoustic type of song to be honest)

The presence of violins doesn't really indicate anything apart from the obvious to me.
For me it's mostly that I currently wanna hear some Muse songs with the sound of one/a handful of string instruments rather than a full orchestra.

Again, goes back to what I was saying about BH&R - the high points, like City Of Delusion, Take A Bow and Map Of The Problematique, are incredible.

 

I was lucky enough to see CoD twice on the BH&R tour and I'd still rank it as one of Muse's best live songs to date.
