Moonlight__
As long as the orchestral stuff is kept to a minimum I don't mind at all. I think if a muse album was stripped away too much to just guitar bass and drums it wouldn't really feel like a muse album. I agree. also i think it will be pretty minimum. this is probably why they do it now and haven't done it earlier, i guess. might be about 1 or 2 songs. could still very well be a stripped down song ( i don't know, i would love hearing acoustic type of song to be honest)

WeirdF
I mean were we expecting them to not use any orchestral stuff at all? At no point have they said "every song on the album will be stripped back".

Alec Ferris
The presence of violins doesn't really indicate anything apart from the obvious to me.

Clunge
Again, goes back to what I was saying about BH&R - the high points, like City Of Delusion, Take A Bow and Map Of The Problematique, are incredible. I was lucky enough to see CoD twice on the BH&R tour and I'd still rank it as one of Muse's best live songs to date.
LewisF
Hopefully it'll make a live return

altbecky
Doesn't really look like a full orchestra though. Strings doesn't have to mean completely over the top.

Maneachicken
As long as they're used in a way which actually adds to the songs - not just bolted on for good measure.
