Hat
K. Still better than electronica with no structure. From Kid A on, Radiohead was pushing random buttons. Verse-chorus-verse is quite difficult to wrap your head around, I agree.

Hopix
Give them another listen. Amnesiac and Kid A are amazing when you give them a little time and patience. Just because they're not instant gratification and in-your-face rewarding doesn't mean they're bad.
FromTexas
And that's what makes it idiotic. No it doesn't. Even when it is verse-chorus-verse Radiohead throws in random bullshit in every song.

What about Pulk/Pull Revolving Doors? Besides that though, I can't really think of anything that could be seen as random or structure-less. Unidentifiable
If anything it's repetitive. This. Too often now Radiohead end their songs with repetitive drum patterns that seem to suck the "direction" out of the song. I can see where the other poster is coming from re. "randomness", even if it's not the exactly correct lexicon. I'd maybe say rudderless (at times). For the record, my favourite albums are In Rainbows and The Bends, although nowhere near my top albums. And sorry for not moving this on to the Radiohead thread. To relate it back to Muse, I think they could come up with stuff similar to their "older" style without sounding particularly regressive. They've hardly become very progressive in style, for a start. Clunge
Nah, let's keep talking about Radiohead. They're vastly superior to Muse in pretty much every respect so any discussion of Muse is, frankly, moot.
