Lila-TheTemperance
I'd say I prefer the studio version of Panic Station to the studio Supermassive. But it's live that Supermassive really goes to another level, and it's too soon to really say what Panic Station's like live. I was at Muse's Concert in Pesaro just a few days ago.Onestly both of the songs gave me a great discharge of adrenaline, I was freaking out as long as both songs have been played BUT I loved SMBH from the first moment I heard it, and I prefer it's lyric so I've just vote it. Ps.: really surprised to see that is PS winning...
Hat
I love them both so much but I think SMBH will last longer. Feel like Panic Station won't hold up as well in a few years.
Seaking
I love them both so much but I think SMBH will last longer. Feel like Panic Station won't hold up as well in a few years. I can see this happening. SMBH is also better live whereas PS kind of remains the same. Might factor in. Right now though, they are about even. Jobby
Panic Station is catchier by a country mile and more fun to listen to, but I think I prefer Supermassive instrumentally (apart from the solo, the studio 'solo' is shit). Live, Supermassive wins as well.
Collateral Damage.
Voted for Supermassive, because it's imo a very iconic song that will never ever get old. And I like the lyrics a lot for some reason. On the other hand, Panic Station is a very catchy song that's been stuck in my head since the show on monday and it's one of my favourite songs off of The 2nd Law. But SBH is SBH, common! Hopix
It is close. But in the end it's Supermassive for me. I love the song really, has a great, dancey but dark feel. Nice riffs too.
PanicStationofCydonia77
Panic Station is really catchy and fun to dance to , but on the other hand, Supermassive Blackhole was one of the songs that got me hooked on Muse, so I'm going for SMBH

FabriPav
As much as I love Supermassive, Panic Station is better. Both are truly amazing songs though.

futurellama
Supermassive Black Hole is an amazing song, so much groovier than the plodding Panic Station.

Kashelle357
Panic Station is so much groovier and funkier. SMBH did get me into Muse, but it's not as catchy or, for lack of a better term, fun, as PS.
Tornado
I voted SMBH but that was based on my opinion that Panic Station is not in the slightest bit sexy, even though they both nailed the "funky" and "dancy" feel, as you put it. To be honest, it took a few goes to get into PS. I was almost embarrassed listening to it in the beginning. It reminded me of when Cliff Richard makes his random come-backs and aims at the younger crowd by throwing in a few "UGH"s and squeals. So shudder-worthy! - but not so much now, though. It kind of makes me grin.
darksky
On the albums, I prefer Panic Station by miles. Live, SMBH is a little bit better imo.
Peter.
Live, SMBH is a little bit better imo. true dat. while I still think Panic Station is a better song and serves it's purpose better than SMBH, the latter can make you go fucking nuts live:LOL:
