Shrinking Universe
For the studio versions it's a tough call between Sunburn and Newborn. Ended up choosing the latter. When including live versions, the pre-album version of AP (Emergency) wins it by a mile for me.

spark_
So you judge an album opener based on the following song? Pretty nonsense to me Haha yeah bit of a wtf there. Had to think about this one quite hard. A lot of songs which I like, none which I absolutely adore. New Born shades it over Apocalypse Please and Take A Bow, for no other reason than I seemed to have played it a lot. Supremacy is a bit too new for me to fairly rate it, but I'd put it in that bracket too. Sunburn next, then Uprising. The album version of Uprising is a "play sparingly" song for me, it tires quickly if I play it too much.
skrillzzz1109
Went with Apocalypse Please because it symbolizes my favorite version of Muse. The haunting, apocalyptic sounding piano with the strained vocals. Although I agree that Muse do very well with openers. Surprisingly I'm still a huge fan of Uprising. That song always gets me jacked up.
