Finn.
Big Freeze. Again. Is the only option as the worst song in T2L, the worst song in Muse career and the worst song in the XXI century. I don't like U2, and BF sounds like a cover of a (even more) bad song of U2. But what make the song worse for me are the expectations i had. I am familiar with the concept of the Big Freeze and when i read Muse will have a song called that i was excited thinking in a 15 minutes magnun opus, the soundtrack of the end of the universe. MandaF
Save Me. Worst Muse song pretty much ever.
Citizen Erased 01
I like Big Freeze at least it's interesting. Explorers and Save me are the most boring songs I've ever heard. Like, not even joking/exaggerating.

Citizen Erased 01
Big Freeze. Explorers is one of Muse's best songs :> I don't understand how you can think that. I respect your opinion of course, but it's so removed from my reality it's unreal EDIT: surely there are better Muse piano songs out there? Have you heard B&H, Hoodoo, Sing for Absolution, Globalist? Globalist's last section is far worse than Explorers in my opinion The rest is indeed better (hell, SfA is probably my favourite song, also the first I've heard). Not to mention RbS. But for me Explorers simply works. I don't mind Muse taking other directions as long as it is actually good. I hated some of T2L and also some of Drones. At the same time I loved other bits form these albums. And I get shivers during Explorers so I assume it's good
Citizen Erased 01
ok, fair enough. Aftermath gives me huge shivers so I suppose I get what you're saying
forevermusic
I like Explorers. I admit this is unusual for a 2010's Muse track, but I do like the lyrics. Or at least the lyrical idea of not feeling like you belong on a dying planet. Maybe I'm weird. Still maintain Big Freeze is Muse's worst song (worse than Revolt), and have only heard it once since T2L came out. Which was last week. Still thought it was shit. Finn.
Explorers is a nice lullaby. The problem is people wanted a death metal song to headbang during the concerts, and they cannot do that with Explorers. Ergo they don't like the song.

Think this is a truth - some fans just hate anything that isn't heavy such as SS and now TH. I adore both of those songs but also love their softer stuff - each to their own. Us Muse fans are a disparate bunch

This song, big freeze and. Save me are on a row after the high charge of energy that are Supremacy, the second half of madness, panic station, survival and animals. So it's not fair to say people dislike Explorers because they're death metal fans haha. I love classical music, I just happen to find Explorers dull and uninspired to the point of offensiveness

Us Muse fans are a disparate bunch nah while their darker and heavier moments are often their best, some of Muse's best moments are their slower and quieter or piano based songs i.e. Falling Down, Invincible, Hoodoo, Aftermath, Endlessly, Screenager etc - it's just that Explorers kinda goes nowhere and gets really really boring

New Born Lee
Save Me is weirdly catchy to me. Before I saw Muse in Belfast this year I listened to a couple of their albums while I was waiting in the queue. I listened to Save Me (listening to some of The 2nd Law was weird because I hadn't listened to it nearly as much as other albums) and after that couldn't get it out of my head. It even stayed in my head DURING parts of the gig and well afterward.
