Strangeseas
If it is I will die of happiness. But Muse is not Muse without silly pop tunes. I don't like change.
Bumpypotato
But Muse is not Muse without silly pop tunes. I don't like change. You can still have silly pop tunes, but I'd love to see them take an overall more serious tone.
Strangeseas
You can still have silly pop tunes, but I'd love to see them take an overall more serious tone. I was joking. (I wouldn't mind songs like Survival on the next album though.) I'd appreciate a more militaristic () minimalist approach + some heavy, chunky riffs

Butrus
Matt spoke about it in some recent interview If you can't get any bigger, you should go minimalistic That's the thing they would want to do at some point

Butrus
That's what they said they could do maybe in the future. I've recently stumbled across some interview from 2007 they were telling how they'd never go into electronic music and always be a proper rock band next year, they wrote UD... Jobby
That's what they said they could do maybe in the future. And that was about 6 years ago. Basically, if Matt says they're thinking about doing something - don't believe it until you see it
Gohenko
There's already too much srsbeef regarding IS, but I just have to say this. Whether or not Isolated System is technically skilled it carries emotional weight. It speaks without words. I don't really care if a song is technically challenging or carries huge emotional weight or is just a fucking awesome masterpiece, I only care if it's a song that I like and want to listen to, and Isolated System is sadly not a song that I particularly like very much. There's nothing really wrong with it, I just prefer listening to some other music instead of it. EDIT: I'm not saying I don't like IS. I do listen to it sometimes and enjoy it, but I just don't find it that...special. Now we can bury the IS talk and start talking about some more important matters. darksky
That's what they said they could do maybe in the future. Well, Madness is partly kinf of minimalistic. And partly really big. I think that's what they're also going to do on the next album with at least one song. And IS isn't that big either. I think the next album will have really bombastic stuff and contrasting minimalistic stuff too, so the big stuff seems even bigger and the other way round. serpentsatellite
Also, Big Freeze is better than Liquid State and Save Me I hold this opinion, as well... But again, I actually love the 80s feel of Big Freeze anyways. I love IS, but I can't really explain it. The Gallery gives me chills, as well. Raiga Kagekami
Never knew about the Su su su part in Supremacy. Always thought it was a synth. And I already knew about the vocals in Survival during the solo, crazy.
DifferentPerson
I knew about both of these things, but I'd never actually heard them isolated from the rest of the music like that! Pretty cool stuff!
