Raiga Kagekami
Thanks for the pics Fabri. Interesting read, though I'm not really into all those technical stuff.
FabriPav
Interesting read. About "songs info", we now know that a part of the Follow Me lyrics are "[When darkness] surrounds you", and that there's a cool effect in Supremacy: "On album opener "Supremacy", Bellamy's passionate vocal cry morphs into a screaming guitar solo." The interview really gave the idea of the huge amount of work around the album
Tesseract
This is probably the best interview I've read for The 2nd Law. Really cool behind the scenes stuff that most people wouldn't otherwise know.
andy24
I need to hear Supremacy. I haven't been this excited for a song in a LONG time. Great read.
Tim59
Thanks again Fabri. Great interview, nice and fresh.
Strangeseas
I like to sing barefooted, it's silly things. And Matt said he doesn't know Porcupine Tree. Matt loves arpeggiated synths.
FabriPav
And Matt said he doesn't know Porcupine Tree. Actually seems like there will be MORE arpeggios in this album too So the fake leaks might be not fake
Tim59
Wow this interview has made me more excited than ever (I know everyone says this after every interview, but...)! Even if I don't like the songs, at least the production sounds like it will be great.

Clunge
And once more, the expectation heaped on Supremacy rises, again . It's going to be a monster.
Dramatic Hammer
He does talk some total shit doesn't he.
That Little Animal
Now that was an interesting interview. I like all the geek talk, even though I don't know what half of it means, but it oozes a kind of enthusiasm for music that I haven't heard from Matt in a long time. It sounds like the talent, enthusiasm and genius of Bellamy has drained from his guitar playing, piano playing and songwriting into the production process more and more. Which I guess explains the drop in fresh (for lack of a better word) songwriting and the rise in production quality between BHaR and TR.

I agree to an extent (even though we might still get great songs out of this album). I can totally see him becoming a producer in the future, if not a soundtrack writer. Or both

Some fresh songwriting from Chris and Matt was probably happy to just focus on all the studio stuff.

The way he explains how Supremacy's guitar solo changes its EQ he clearly has a passion for producing

kueller
I love all the gear talk in this one. Supremacy is sounding as good as ever but actually it's Isolated System that the article has made me more interested in.
FabriPav
actually it's Isolated System that the article has made me more interested in. It sounds more and more apocalyptic and haunting.
kueller
It sounds more and more apocalyptic and haunting. Reminds me of the Gallery or Con-Science, but with modern Muse's over the top style. I know there's some other non-Muse song it reminds me of but I can't think of it right now. I can also see this song never being played live.

Arcade
The comparison between Frank Zappa and Matt Bellamy is laughable.. Zappa was known to produce an ALBUM per MONTH.. he was a slave driver musically.. a genius of sorts.
