Dee3Dee
Yeah they should have left it as a straight up rock song with electronic elements. Like the live version, oh well hence the electronic elements Do you even realise what you're saying?

Travisx2112
It's growing on me. I looove the lyrics though. So sweet  Edit: Bono at the end much?
JakeLulz
Yeah they should have left it as a straight up rock song with electronic elements. Like the live version, oh well Being completely honest I can see them having written the album version first, the live version comes across as more of an adaption of the song with traditional rock instruments, with Chris singing backing vocals. Jobby
Do you even realise what you're saying? I don't think they do. Anyway, I really the wubwub. I knew since I heard it in the live version that it'd work really well, even without the guitar.
Hat
There aren't even any "wubwubs" in this song.

Jobby
There aren't even any "wubwubs" in this song. In the chorus? I call it wubwub anyway, I suppose it's technical name is sub-bass. Suppose I shouldn't generalise like that. Nero ruined this song. Lul I wonder how many times this will be said.

Peter.
I wonder how many times this will be said. nero ruined the song. ok, pehaps not 'ruined' it, but the live version was sure a hell of a lot better. also, my much preferred version would be a slowed-down version with only Matt singing and some very minimalistic piano and 1 violin in the background. Hat
also, my much preferred version would be a slowed-down version with only Matt singing and some very minimalistic piano and 1 violin in the background. Oh god that would be horrible. Without the massive chorus and electronic stuff all around this song would be a fucking bore.

Dee3Dee
I didn't. But I did hear the live version. Which was practically the same. So what's the problem?
sade
What is up with Matt's vocals on this track(/album)? It's like 50% amazing, 50% hammy, jokey delivery?

I love his vocals in the song, I don't really notice much/any hammy deliveries, especially when compared to some of the other songs on the album. 3:23...oomph. sade
I love his vocals in the song, I don't really notice much/any hammy deliveries, especially when compared to some of the other songs on the album. 3:20...oomph. The beginning of the song sounds quite odd vocal-wise, as does the beginning of Supremacy...and it seems parts of Panic Station too (listening to it for the first time on BBC 1 right now).It is probably a matter of getting used to it, I remember being weirded out by Survival's vocal delivery too at first, but now I barely notice it. Hat
Panic Station is weird all over, ESPECIALLY the vocals. That what makes it so damn awesome.

The vocals are the best thing about Panic Station. They're just so...mental but that makes them extremely fun.
SoberBaby
The beginning kind of reminds me of something Coldplay would do. It's too meh, which is probably why this song isn't #1 for me.
Corona Radiata
Which was practically the same. So what's the problem? The chorus. Live, it was still electronic but it wasn't so unneccesarily throbbing and obnoxious. I prefer the live rock/electronic version. Fully electronic this song just doesn't work. Maybe it will grow on me.
