Buxomflirter Queef Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 Well to be honest I was looking forward to Unsustainable. This is just disappointing. Well you shot yourself in the foot there. Never look forward / have high hopes for something Muse related as you'll always be disappointed. Pretty such this applies:
Sleepybear Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 Get rid of the "dubstep" at the end and replace it with something worthy and I would likely enjoy it.
FabriPav Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 Why people find this disappointing? I think it's awesome. Really really great.
Anxyous Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 On the plus-side, the new store is looking better than the old one.
TheBellamyist Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 I do agree with the fact that they pretty much repeated the trailer again at the end, but the intro and that middle part are fantastic. I actually like the guitar stuff, and the vocals are amazing, you can't deny that. Good stuff, Muse.
Hat Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 Why people find this disappointing? Because they were expecting something good. I know, silly.
Dillyracer Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 Wonder how that outro flows with Isolated system.
mjartrod Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 It still feels a bit weird to listen to the entire thing because one part is v familiar and the second half is new LOL Highlight so far is Matt's vocals. 20 seconds, no lyrics but it sounds so immense. I love the whole thing , I already loved the trailer but that part is the one that gets to me. I won't say it's better than anything off TR but it's definitely NOT anything like it and that alone makes me happyyyyyyy
deborafraga Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 the part with matts vocals. my favourite part mine too
Dee3Dee Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 It sounds like one of those terrible fanmade leaks where whoever made the video just repeated the album trailer.....oh wait, Muse did that too.
Anxyous Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 It still feels a bit weird to listen to the entire thing because one part is v familiar and the second half is new LOL No, the first half is familiar, and the second half is the first half all over again.
TheBellamyist Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 Survival > Unsustainable +1 but I still like Unsustainable.
kueller Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 Ok heard it. Really it's just what I expected from the trailer, which wasn't much. So I'm pretty indifferent right now.
eyduh Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 The drums that kick in after Matt's vocals had me thinking oh shit it's about to go down and then.... nothing.
jbyun04 Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 they should've made it a pure dubstep type track..no vocals just badass rocksteppery with a heavy drop and maybe a riff. Couldve made a wicked set closer
mjartrod Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 No, the first half is familiar, and the second half is the first half all over again. No, that is the final bit of the second half And I really couldn't care less because to me it sounds amazing
Hat Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 Make the drop heavier and add a different ending and you have a great song.
Clunge Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 Well that was a crushing disappointment . The rest of the song is just the first half with a few extra bits layered on top including a totally pointless and clichéd vocal track by Matt and a few more electro bits thrown in with the strings. The so-called 'dubstep' bit has no power at all either - the first one kind of does but the second one just feels like it's been dropped in. The whole song sounds like a copy and paste job . I'm also starting to get really pissed off with Matt's pseudo-intellectualism in his lyrics. It's all just bullshit dressed up in a few fancy and/or ridiculous theories. At least Survival rocks.
mjartrod Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 they should've made it a pure dubstep type track..no vocals just badass rocksteppery with a heavy drop and maybe a riff. There's still Isolated System and we don't really know what comes out of that.
Spectrum IV Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 Why people find this disappointing? I think it's awesome. Really really great. This. the part with matts vocals. my favourite part And this. No real surprises in the second half, apart from the improvement in Matt's voice. Still awesome though.
eyduh Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 Make the drop heavier and add a different ending and you have a great song. Would that be really too hard, Muse?
Hat Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 Would that be really too hard, Muse? Gives me hope for the live version though. If only Matt won't pussy out on the vocals...
Althea Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 Sounds like music for a film soundtrack. Of course it would be for one of those disaster/end of the world films ("2012" !!!!!!!!!!! ), kind of like the footage in the vid. Does that translate to something you want to sit around at home and listen to, or even at a live concert? I don't know..... It's the type of song that needs visual with it, so at least we know TK will style us out with that at the gigs. I did like the very beginning bit. For me personally, though, Unsustainable is mostly Unrelatable.
manuel21 Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 the part with Matt vocals is so fucking awesome really like it
