Or, more like, I wouldn't have listened to it in the first place. I know what Muse are capable of and Matt has got an amazing voice. Anyway, I really love it now. It's like a tiny, tropical island in the Muse universe. A bit like Map Of Your Head in terms of the positive sound. It also occured to me that whatever Muse would release these days, be it Citizen Erased or Bliss, people would call it "cheesy" and "cringeworthy". Writing music with lyrics is kind of cheesy, when you think about it. Don't worry, it will be back. Like the poop that refuses to be flushed.
