Tesseract Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 Thank you for doing this! Wow, some really unexpected bits of info there. Not sure if I like the description of Madness.
sebby aka pup Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 Chris said more oldies and rotation of the setlists. Yeah we will see...
forevermusic Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 Read it. Dunno if it's made me more or less worried about what's gonna go down. All I know is that it's nice to have basic concepts and can't wait to hear it.
Riveon Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 Chris said more oldies and rotation of the setlists. Yeah we will see... Hmm well Chris said it, not Matt, so you never know.
Hat Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 1. More rotation. 2. Liquid State being about Chris' drinking? How did we not see that?
DifferentPerson Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 Chris said more oldies and rotation of the setlists. Yeah we will see... Oldies = Feeling Good Rotation = Invincible being rotated with Guiding Light. That is my prediction
Anxyous Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 1. More rotation. 2. Liquid State being about Chris' drinking? How did we not see that? People were raving about Sober at some point.
jackparker Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 "Chris wrote and sang two of the album's songs - Save Me and Liquid State"
Hat Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 People were raving about Sober at some point. Yeah I know, just jokingly though.
Anxyous Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 Yeah I know, just jokingly though. No, that's just how you see all the predictions.
Hopix Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 It says song previews at http://www.nme.com/artists/muse but I can't find anything?
Anxyous Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 It says song previews at http://www.nme.com/artists/muse but I can't find anything? Album preview, it's probably just the trailer.
Tom Wells Posted July 24, 2012 Author Posted July 24, 2012 It says song previews at http://www.nme.com/artists/muse but I can't find anything? Maybe we'll get them tomorrow, when the paper copy comes out.
leetroot Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 Thanks for posting the links Woah... Chris singing? Can't wait.
Gareeh Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 The fact Panic Station is inspired by Prince deeply worries me
Tesseract Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 The fact Panic Station is inspired by Prince deeply worries me So was SMBH.
eyduh Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 "Chris wrote and sang two of the album's songs - Save Me and Liquid State" holy shit you guys
JessicaSarahS Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 "Chris wrote and sang two of the album's songs - Save Me and Liquid State" So excited.
eyduh Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 I really don't know what to think. I've never read so much about an album and finished reading having no fucking clue whatsoever about what's it going to sound like. But I'm most looking forward to Chris' songs.
Gareeh Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 So was SMBH. Good point But Panic Station sounds more Prince-like camp
haarpuna Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 Not really happy reading about the "realms of the ridiculous"... I was relieved when they said Survival would be the silliest song on the record. Maybe the songs with Chris on vocals will be heavier though. But hearing about all these different influences (once again), I'm getting pretty pessimistic. Expecting a Resistance-like mess.

I'm still relieved that both tracks we've heard so far have some of the heaviest guitar since Stockholm Syndrome.
