What songs do you think they are going to drop on the next tour, since it's only a few months away!

What do you want them to keep and drop?

All of them.

You want them to play nothing at all!?

You is mad. Okay, matt will just have to spin playing nothing i guess

What do I think they will drop? New Born and MoP :( but also guiding light and UD maybe?

What do I want them to drop? uhh I don't actually care. I just want to see songs like asassin, SS, CE, take a bow, Knights, invincible, blackout, hoodoo live which is a weird mix and aint gonna happen so might as well not worry about it all

They're (most likely) gonna get rid of any (if not all of) the OoS songs. That much is certain :(

I hope they drop Guiding Light. Also, they need to keep Unnatural Selection. They're probably gonna drop some one or two Absolution songs, though I hope they keep Stockholm Syndrome. If they keep Stockholm Syndrome then I'll be happy. They might get rid of something from BHaR (probably MotP).

Just random thoughts.

Tbh, I wouldn't mind if they dropped Newborn. Felt uninspired to me the entire TR era.

Already in 2006 I was growing tired of it live but then at the summer festivals in 2007 with the outros and gliteratti, etc (Pinkpop :awesome: ) it felt new, so it was alright. It can go, as far as I'm conerned, and be brought back ocasionally.

UD will be TR's Invincible: a single, everyone complaining about it being played and then dropped never to be seen again in the tour that followed :p

Unnatural Selection will probably not be played again and be this labum's 'Assasin' :( And it was sooo good live waaaah :( The middle section was one of my highlights at Wembley in 2010.

I bet they'll drop ss and play it like they did with bliss.

i have a bad feeling :(.

Not sure SS will be played everytime if there is a 'replacement' for it in the new album. The new album will apparently feature their heaviest/loudest song to date soooo....

I think it's a given Uprising will stay, but I wonder what other TR songs they will keep. UD and Guiding Light need to go and I'm fairly certain they will. I assume it's down to USoE, Resistance (since it was a single and works better live than UD) and what I would prefer over all the other options, Unnatural Selection. Honestly, judging by their "credentials"# only Uprising "should" stay, but I think it would be too embarrasing to drop nearly all TR songs.

# I mean commercial success and fan interest combined

I don't see Hysteria, SS, SMBH, KoC, Starlight going, even if I really hope Starlight (and TIRO) get the boot.

MoTP has been a staple for so long and works live well so I suppose it could stay, but I wouldn't be surprised if it goes.

I really hope they retire FG for good, there is absolutely no reason for it to stay. I mean, six albums+ B-sides and playing a cover regularly?NB might go too, especially since SOMETHING has to go to make room for the new songs, but if they want to feature older songs, it wouldn't surprise me if CE takes NB's place. I can't see PiB going anywhere.

So maybe

CE, PiB

Hysteria, SS, Starlight, TIRO

SMBH, KoC

Uprising + one TR song

as the base,

completed with 5 new songs (including Survival)

adds to 15...leaves two songs for rotation since last gigs on the tour had about 17 songs.

EDIT: Damn that looks depressing

They'll almost certainly keep Uprising, Supermassive, Hysteria, TiRO, Startits, PiB and Knights of Cydonia.

One of UD or Resistance will still be there, as will either New Born or Stockholm Syndrome, and I like to think Map of the Problematique and Citizen Erased will appear from time to time, and some shows will get both of one of those groupings. Feeling Good will make an appearance from time to time and they'll play one or two other piano tunes - most likely United States of Eurasia and maybe a dip into the back catalogue.

But that's a guess. A slightly accurate one. But still a guess.

Right, the effing "jams", I just looked at the average number of tracks played from setlist.fm..:(.

EDIT:

How dare you put Starlight in with the Absolution songs

Oh, fuck. My bad.

The songs I see staying from The Resistance are:

Uprising (popular single plus it's great for audience involvement, won't be show opener anymore)

Resistance

Undisclosed Desires (need to have a slow song for a cool down)

United States Of Eurasia (played either before or after "Survival". I'm guessing before so they don't have to worry about "Prelude".)

MK Ultra and Unnatural Selection will likely be rotated in the sets.

Exogenesis Part 1 will be dropped.

Personally, I'd like for them to say "fuck it" and go for longer sets with more variation. When Coldplay plays longer sets than Muse does, that's sad. With having 6 albums worth of material to cull from, Muse could put on one hell of a show and make each one a unique experience. Some songs are set standards (Plug In Baby, Knights Of Cydonia, Stockholm Syndrome), but there are so many songs for them to play with and switch out for each other.

TR: Overture, Guiding Light, IBTY, Popcorn, Prague (BUAHAHAH)

BHAR: TaB (kinda feeling 50/50), Soldier's Poem

Abso: RBS (same as TaB)

OoS: New Born, Bliss (occasional), FG (hopefully), all but PiB and CE. (hoping one of the two an occasional)

Showbiz: I'm hoping all Showbiz songs are going to be dropped for the next tour.

let's hope it's like that.
