zorkes Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 Muse to theme illuminympic games 2012 Hi! Just a short story as introduction: 1999: After listening uncountable times to the CD I was very excited to go on my first MUSE concert in Austria. It was a stunning event, I cant even find the words to describe this feeling I have had. So for me MUSE wasn’t just a band – it stands for a way to live. As time passed by, new CDs, new songs all not better than the old ones, the old ones aren’t better than the new ones, they are all just different. But for me things changed with the release of absolution. From this album until now I feel like there is a hidden message to be transported, don’t know if it is really that hidden or so obvious that I feel it is hidden. Somehow I feel like Muse trys to uncover the upcoming future, recommends a way of life which will make you survive and so on. Something that comes with information one would hardly get, or with lots of trust into existing future speculations. (A very good literature would be “don’t touch this book”) I was kind of shocked when I noticed that Muse is going to Theme the upcoming Olympic games as they stand for a Milestone in the illuminati plan. Nearly on a daily basis, new signs, interpretations, symbolism and so on is unlocked and published on the internet. It’s not like “there is a sign…. Maybe….. and…. If …..” there are HUNDREDS of signs. (just take like 5 minutes and put “Olympic games 2012 illuminati” into google or youtube and try to make your own opinion. So in my world, where this chaos games 2012, which – if you believe it – come with something like an accident or attack at the cost of a huge amount of human lifes, when I heard the song of muse is going to be linked to this events, this wouldn’t be good commercial. But, after finally knowing the title of the song “survival” – which would fit perfectly into the environment if things come like it is planned by the illuminati - I just went back listening to old cds and questioned myself, “are they really trying to uncover future plans? Or are they actually just reporting cause they KNOW it cause they are part of it? So my questions for this thread would be Is muse uncovering the future? Is muse reporting the future? Am I just crazy Really looking forward to your responses! Im sorry for all the spelling mistakes an my bad english. I am from austria
Dirk Gently Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 As much as I find conspiracy theories amusing, you are full of crap my friend.
Niall Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 There is no illuminati. Conspiracies and vast, covert injustices happen all the time, and you peoples' fixation with fanciful stories about secret organisations is distracting you from them. They're not very exciting or sci-fi because they usually involve large corporations or institutions doing things that are quite complicated to understand at first and typically don't make for fun song lyrics or hollywood movies, but they're real. Why not look at what's happening with Barclay's bank in the UK? Or the Leveson inquiry into media ethics? They're examples of genuine conspiracies that are effecting real people. Or how about how the company responsible for the Bhopal disaster is sponsoring the Olympics? Not this garbage about some ancient order putting signs everywhere for no reason and trying to control governments an whatever. If such a thing existed we would know, and people a lot smarter and more aware than people who make poorly edited youtube videos would be the ones discovering it.
Gareeh Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 Christ it's worse than the African Americans on twitter. Do people over the age of 15 still believe in this?
sade Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 There is no illuminati. Conspiracies and vast, covert injustices happen all the time, and you peoples' fixation with fanciful stories about secret organisations is distracting you from them. Quoted for truth. The great irony with "illuminati" stuff is that the very same people who get screwed over by the acts by their governments or economic institutions choose to focus on childish garbage instead of paying attention to real life injustices.
serpentsatellite Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 While I'll leave it to Niall, as they are much more well spoken than I am (damn American education system...) - I always went one step further... I think some people (not saying the govt... but... maybe?) are more than alright with these types of conspiracy theories, and maybe even help keep them alive... to help distract some people from the TRUE awfulness that is forced on the peoples of the world. It wouldn't do to have people aware of and concerned about all the "boring" stuff that's actually going to ruin the world and kill us all, now would it? It's a lot nicer to be able to call someone a "conspiracy theorist" or to compare them to those "illuminati believers." (In America, we've recently just boiled that all down to calling someone "un-American"... which is, apparently, the most damning thing ever.) Capitalism is, by it's very nature, a system based on squashing and screwing everyone around you as hard as possible for relatively meaningless personal gain. On a country-wide scale. Take the example of a multi-billion a year major retailer, who's CEO reaps in in excess of $20 million a year... but who's corporation is run on paying employees as absolutely little as legal, providing them little to no benefits, and pushing them as hard as possible - the company is literally being carried on the backs of mothers and other unfortunates who can't even afford to feed and house themselves on the wages. This is actually considered to be a POSITIVE thing, and we as a nation are trained to actually LOOK DOWN ON the people who work these jobs, because they have "all the opportunity in the world" and didn't "better themselves." But really... our country is founded in this - where the hell would we be if there was no one to make the useless crap we buy and then sell it to us? All the while, the banks are playing high stakes gambling games with what little money you CAN put away, and the money you haven't even finished paying them yet... Why on Earth isn't that bad enough, and we need to conceive of something like the Illuminati?
zorkes Posted June 28, 2012 Author Posted June 28, 2012 well, i didn't expect to get any response on my post, but now i would like to draw your attention to the things i actually really wrote. i did not ask about your oppinion of the existance of any - how ever you would like to call it - illuminati, and moreover not if it makes sence believing in such "things" or not. i just want to avoid that this thread is going off topic.
serpentsatellite Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 Sorry... I felt that opinions on the existance of illuminati-esque conspiracies was central to your post, and since I believe something different, it was relevent. I meant no disrespect, truely. I also just felt like running off my loud mouth. So, on topic... no, I don't believe Muse is doing any of that. Which would be hard for me to believe, since I don't believe in the base concept, admittedly. What I do believe, is that (ignoring the "love" songs for now) Muse writes some songs based on widely known conspiracy theories, and some (more realistic ones) about the state of the world today. And sometimes people get the two confused, or make more of it than there is. Which is, again, I think, the basis of conspiracy theories anyways.
Jobby Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 Yes. Matthew Bellamy is our prophet and will use his divine powers to lead us to a new and better world.
zorkes Posted June 28, 2012 Author Posted June 28, 2012 I meant no disrespect, truely. i didn't catch it like that, no problem, i'am a quite pleasent person ;-)

Clunge Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 What a load of horseshit. Conspiracy theories are nothing more than tall tales designed to shift the blame onto anyone but oneself. If every conspiracy theorist in the world directed the same level of attention towards rallying against the governments, corporations and organisations that really do inflict misery on humankind, perhaps they'd actually see some change.
