The creditcard + ID is a pretty failsafe way of getting rid of touts, but you'd need that same card with you and ID that (I think) matches that card. That would still exclude a lot of people. I t worked with the small shows earlier in the year, everyone got put through really quickly (at the Barrowlands anyway), but unfortunately that wouldn't work with an arena tour. I agree that it is shite and very unfair to the fans that genuinely want to go to the gigs though. It worked pretty well in the US last time around for arenas - the GA and certain prime seating locations were ID/credit/Will Call only, and the rest of the stuff the touts wouldn't want wasn't. And I don't think it would be a huge logistical nightmare to have the FAN PRESALES be protected in some way, if not the entire gig.
