I play it like this (sorry, it's just a fast tab, I'm currently at work) : UNSUSTAINABLE TAB by Coul33t /!\ : There may are some errors, due to the fact I'm at work and that my english isn't perfect I didn't put the first part, because you can find accurate tabs very easily on internet for it, but I didn't find anything that pleased me (read : I didn't find the way I play it ) for the " dubstep " part, so here's my tab (starting just after the " UN-SUS-TAI-NA-BLE). Just a few notes : - I let you figure out the tempo, didn't have time to make a good tab - The slide from 0 to 17 may go a bit less far, just try and figure out what you appreciate the most ! - 3* and 2* are harmonics, and the two of them are near the fret between 2nd and 3rd case. - Play with high distorsion, so the harmonics and the random scratching will sound good. Will_ Posted June 12, 2012 Share Posted June 12, 2012 Nah, I recon it's Fuzz Factory, Whammy, Drop A madness, and some pick scrapes and slides. It is most definitely not the Kitara. It sounds just like a real guitar, and the kitara sounds really synthy and kinda tinny imo. It might be in the background but what we can hear is a load of big muffs + bass, ff whammy + guitar, and a drum kit. It's simpler than you think, imo. Yeah and you'd "most definitely" know for certain Could be though! But how is a load of big muffs + ff + whammy and then guitar simpler than just using the Kitara? I've made a cover of the dubstep part Unsustainable. No kitara, no kaoss pad, just guitar! I bet the original song is recorded almost like this. minimummadness Posted June 22, 2012 Share Posted June 22, 2012 I've started tabbing the whole of the 2nd Law trailer music In guitar pro 6, mostly by ear and a picture of some sheet music. So far I have: (on the first half) most of the strings, not so much the swaying melody epic drum impact and some of the choir and brass. Added the sheets I copied from an official image I found Violin 1, Viola and Cello I haven't finished it yet though and it's probably not all accurate. (I'm new here by the way...)
