What do you think of this cover of Uprising

aaaawww if I didn't finish my cover mash up version, I'd been there to add yours.

Speaking of which, it's out now! Not exactly MY any other cover, but rather a cover compilation, pluuuus the intro of the original performers ;-) This (the compilation) is because I'm not 1000% sure where to put it tbh.

This thread is for shameless self promotion, right? I hope so.

I covered The Handler. Sorry about the video quality. Like, really sorry. The shamelessness powers of this thread are not helping. But overall I think I did the guitar part right at least? More to come, hopefully, so if it's really awful let me know please <3

Hi dear MUSE Fans!

I'm a huge MUSE fan and a bassist also :)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k3LcwxSM3p8"]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k3LcwxSM3p8 - check out my Psycho bass cover!

My YT channel is very very young and it's few bass covers there (all MUSE of corse!), but I promise I'll add more and more.

You can watch it, like it, share it or subscribe my channel to get to know about new videos - It will make me to record more covers :)

thanks!

I really like Sandbergs :awesome: Great job on the mercy cover, I never bothered learning the bridge properly, might actually use your video to check out that part again!

I have the habit of commenting a bit on technique - in your right hand, try to either hold your ring finger and pinky bent while playing (like they're holding something), or use them for string muting. That's something I had to get rid of too (if you see my 'The Groove' video of 7 years back you see I did the same), but it increased the neatness of your plucking.

In your left hand, try to keep your fingers closer to the fretboard (i.e.: no floating pinky!). Will make your playing better, and your fretting hand overall faster.

Ohhh... I was also very upset of mine disobedient little finger .. Thank you for your advice, of course, in theory, I am aware that I should not let him run away :D

I play bass guitar only 1.5 years and still working on it - at first it was a lot worse ;)

I hope that with time I will be able to control ALL my fingers. Cheers!

I really love this channel for studying https://www.youtube.com/user/devinebass

He has great tips, and it goes from simple to really advanced. I'm by no means a great player (I used to be loads better but then I had a band and rehearsed 2x2 hours weekly with them), but the hiatus in my playing let me improve my technique because I wasn't playing on auto-pilot anymore.

Stuff like this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hKHSivHkYaI

#1 0:39 Don't cut notes short. Blend notes into each other unless it is intentionally spaced

#2 3:30 Note length. Like #1

#3 6:50 Mute strings that aren't supposed to make noise at the time. It makes sound muddy.

#4 8:15 Practice keeping all fingers down and lift only one finger at a time off the string as you move the next next higher string. Practice for control of each finger but not for real playing.

#5 10:20 Flying fingers. Don't let fingers stick out or m ake wild movements while playing. Practice slow, similar to #4 to control finger movement.

#6 13:00 Dynamics. How loud and soft you pluck.

Ok I am taking this seriously now, you can check my new and more professional cover of Time is Running Out playing with guitar and including Piano parts as well.

I don't use any effects, just edited the sound with audacity and the video with Camtasia Studio, hope you like and give me your feedback, likes and subscribe to my channel for more videos! Actually I am learning the piano of Sunburn.

And I still want to know how do I insert videos here! (Not just the link, but the embeded).

Thanks to all for your time, musers of all world and "musicians"!
