sounds good, what chords are you playing in the chorus exactly?

---10---10---10---9----10---------

---11---11---11---10--11----17--

---10---12---10---9----12----17--

----------12---------------12----17--

-----------------------------------------

------------------------------------------

Dont think it sounds perfect. There should be another chord in there somewhere too. Matt does it differently along the lines of

-13--

-15-

-15-

-15-

------

------

But I cant get my hands to fit comfortably with that so I do the easy option

I like the growly tone! Nicely played too!

But... being the annoying person I am, I'll mention one thing to get checked out: the setup of your bass seems a bit too low; there's some rattle going on some notes, and the attack rattle is a bit too much, even for Timmy C :chuckle:

As in, rattle coming from the frets? Otherwise I may just need to dial down at about 1k on the EQ or something.

There's a bit of fret rattling at open strings going on (can't remember where) which indicates a wrong setup. And you may have to try to dial down that 1k to cut out a bit of the 'finger noise' as it's (to me) at a level where it gets distracting.

I assume a few people on here will have had a listen to the new biffy album... Well I managed to make a quick cover of my favourite track from it. Although its hard to chose a favourite from such a good album

Any feedback appreciated :) unfortunately couldn't get video as it was a dull day and the lighting in my room sucks :(

My joint second favourite biffy album

Good cover... the tone isn't quite right, it's a little too fuzzy. Good muse tone, less good "pure" classic rock tone for biffy.

Yeah I agree, it's also a bit bassy.

Was trying for a big, wide sound but with mega it's hard to make it uncompressed. Plus i don't run 4 amps like Simon Neil

I was going tot say it sounded too trebly!

Really to get simon's tone you need single coils into a high gain amp with a fender deville clean blend. But then again we're not in arena filling rock bands :(
