That's just the blackstar HT20 head completely cranked through the emulated output of the head. it's basically the raw tone of the amp.

 

What's annoying is that I can play that sweeping perfectly now... I should re record it sometime.

They played live where I live a few weeks ago, and I missed them :'(

 

Ah I went to their second Roundhouse show in December and the after party, was my 8th time seeing them. I think it's reasonable enough to say I'm a fan

Shit haha, that's awesome! My only claim to them is that I've known about them since the release of Mothership back in '06... I was like 12 then :p

Plus an awesome cover of an awesome band/song. Also, AFFOC is one of the best albums of 2012

 

Haha I was pretty chuffed with the tone too :happy: agreed, definitely a brilliant album, can't go wrong with it at all!

If I had a way of recording other than webcam I've been wanting to uplaod a Sssnakepit cover recently

Was gonna upload some White Stripes covers yesterday but my mic is shite :( What do you lot use to record?

Ah balls, that's a bit pricey. I might have to wait a while to get a decent mic before I end up recording anything then. The one I use at the moment completely dampens the tone.

USB Input via GT-100, probably not much use to you if you don't have a processor, but I remember when I used to use a mic to record, I'd use my PG-58, it's not brilliant but gets the job done.

I've only watched this one for now, and the thing I noticed immediately is that your note binding isn't that good, you play it too staccato. Try holding the frets down a bit longer, so the notes keep ringing. Also, I think you play the at the end of each section a bit inconvenient; try playing like this
