Xvm27 Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Do you think they'll perform all of Absolution in 2013 like they did with OoS at R+L for its 10 year anniversary, or any other album for that matter? Or do you think they only did OoS because it was arguably the most important album to their success? I'd like to see it done with Absolution, and maybe even BHaR
Jobby Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 They've already done it with BHAR. Granted, it wasn't in order but they've played the entire album before, more than once in fact.
Clunge Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 It was in order - Nottingham Arena 2006 and Wembley Arena 2006 .
Jobby Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Wow I'm surprised they did it in order I'd only think that was a good idea for an album like Origin, Black Holes could definitely do with some switching round.
kueller Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Wow I'm surprised they did it in order I'd only think that was a good idea for an album like Origin, Black Holes could definitely do with some switching round. It wasn't much of a special occasion though. They were big gigs but as far as I know the whole Black Holes entirety thing was a surprise for the ones who went there. So maybe they didn't think too much if it was better to play it in order or not.
Dave. Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 They've never played FAWY live so they'd need a good reason to play it as well as the rest of the album in one show. In my opinion its the album that caught the attention of the public so it must be nearly if not more important to them then OoS. I hope they play it for 2013. Hopefully in Ireland () since they recored most of it here.
Spectrum IV Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 I can't see them doing another R&L. More likely that they will bring back a few tracks around the anniversary date. B&H and RBS are strong contenders. AP, SFA, Blackout and Fury are also probable.
FabriPav Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 If they will, I just wish they'll play a few personal gigs, not just a festival (with shorter setlists, and less hardcore fans). That was the only problem of Reading&Leeds I see it happening, though, Absolution in my mind is their most important album, the one with which they made success in USA
Dee3Dee Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 2013 will be mid-tour for the new album, so no, there won't be an anniversary gig. At best they will bring back a few more Abso songs for a few gigs and that'll be it.
Alec Ferris Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 Well, I hope they do- it's my favourite album by anyone. I reckon when the anniversary comes it will probably get the full deluxe remaster+b-sides/demos+the tour DVD treatment. Black Holes and Revelations almost certainly will.
RayFan9876 Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 They better play all of Absolution in order in three or four years, whenever they decide to stop playing them live. If they don't, I'll certainly flip a jack and sue Muse for all the waiting they've caused me.

FabriPav Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 For the rarities side, I think AP is the most possible. Maybe it'll replace Feeling Good. Why? I see RBS more than AP. Even though it all depends from the type of songs in the 6th album.
kueller Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 Why? I see RBS more than AP. Even though it all depends from the type of songs in the 6th album. What I meant was choosing from the Absolution songs they haven't played in a while. RBS was already a song the past tour.
FabriPav Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 What I meant was choosing from the Absolution songs they haven't played in a while. RBS was already a song the past tour. Aaah okay, in that case I agree Apocalypse Please or Sing For Absolution or Blackout
kueller Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 Aaah okay, in that case I agree Apocalypse Please or Sing For Absolution or Blackout Although RBS hadn't been played for a while. So maybe depending on the album's style something like TSP of Endlessly can come back. I'm not putting my hopes up though.

Dominic. Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 I could always imagine them doing a one off gig for the fans playing Abso all the way through. Perhaps making it a free gig at Shepherd's Bush, like they did in 2006. Matt said he likes that venue, and of course it would be fuckign awesome

They're not going to rehearse a full album mid-tour just to play it once.

spark_ Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 Ahem - FAWY. We'd have to get around that problem first.
Jobby Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 Ahem - FAWY. We'd have to get around that problem first. If it was just one or two anniversary gigs then I think they'd play it just fine. Where's the 'problem'?
Kenshin11212 Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 Needs more The Small Print. Anniversary or not. It's the best song off the album and it's not been played in years! >=/
FabriPav Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 Needs more The Small Print. Anniversary or not. It's the best song off the album and it's not been played in years! >=/ That's personal opinion, some people don't like it at all. (I do, though, even if I don't find it the best off the album)
forevermusic Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 It'd be special if they play Falling Away With You live just the once, maybe in 2013. A few extra Absolution tunes (B&H, S4A, AP, TSP) could work too
