Kati Posted October 27, 2011 Share Posted October 27, 2011 Hmm, I suppose in a few years time the Bieber fans might think they were ridiculous, but in twenty years they'll just remember the time as the sweet youth. There was a hugely popular (among teenage girls) band in my country when I was around the suitable age, but I was never a fan. I followed my elder sister's example and listened to something like Springsteen or David Bowie. More than 20 years later the former fans are full of nostalgy, while I feel like I've missed something. I don't think it's about music at all with someone like Bieber, it's about social feelings, like sharing same feelings with a large fandom. I was on holiday when I saw all the backlash/hate at the Mott Bollomy account and had no clue what everyone was on about!
