Yay, gonna listen tonight. :)

They first had "Reading Festival, at Leeds" noted... I'm the long post in the comments setting them right, and they changed it. ^.^ (not perfect, but we'll take it!)

Go Dutchies!

Do the radio's tend to use a different audio mix for these kinda broadcasts or will it be the same as the BBC televised one? I recall past radio broadcasts of other shows sounding pretty different from TV one-

No idea, think we'll find out by listening. :) Hope someone records it!

I will try it, but I never did it before. So I can't promise anything.

Nice of the host to acknowledge that she'd rather have heard some more OOS stuff. I guess the band doesn't approve of broadcasting that on radio either..

Obviously... If they're gonna make a DVD, why allow a radio broadcast now?

I can only hope they didn't want it broadcast (like Glasto) because they want to put it on a DVD... With those visuals and the crowd... you'd be NUTS not to!

I thought they did broadcast Glasto

Unless you just mean the DVD part...

Glasto was never meant to be a DVD though.

The footage from the two Earls Court gigs was reportedly too poor for a DVD release so Warner shat themselves and got an easy DVD out in time for Xmas '05 using the Glasto gig.

Who decided that the Earl's Court footage was too poor?

Should've done two discs with both nights. Best DVD ever.

So poor, why?

I remember when this happened, I was so fucking pissed, that's why I don't feel like complain about anything any more, I vented all my rage back then

No idea, that was just the word we got at the time.

It would have been a fantastic DVD, marking the last ever performances of some of those songs :(. Plus, Dracula Mountain, the utterly awesome Dead Star/Micro Cuts encore and some brutal riffage.

The Small Print was beyond incredible.

Radio stations use compressors/limiters and other things to tailor the audio, so music can sound very different.

Nobody will ever bother with separate TV & radio mixes.

And don't forget Glorious, one of his best B-Sides, if not his best. Played live only a few times :(
