I thought relic'ing was a complete gimmick when reading stuff like "looks, feels, and sounds like a 50 year old instrument" "increases resonance" "allows the wood to breathe better" fuck right off. HOWEVER.... I don't mind ones like that white tele, as that wasn't meant to look like a 50 year old guitar. And it probably doesn't cost $7000 like the heavily relic'd fenders. Which are also new guitars. I had hooglebug on here build me a tele style guitar with a lightly worn finish, and I actually like the look of it a lot. It's really just had the finish dulled with some checking.
