JimboMansonMB-1
There is some cool stuff there. For envelope filters, try the Lovetone Meatball, it is a upgraded Mu-Tron III. Sadly it costs a million moniez. Or you can DIY it:awesome: I had my pcb ordered here: http://musicpcb.com/pcbs/meat-sphere/ Thanks, Pear! Ugh I would love a Meatball (in fact, I'd like all of the Lovetone stuff) but, like you said, they costs a million monies. I love peddles, but I'm not willing to spend $1k on either a Meatball or an Ampeg Scrambler.... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Collectible-RARE-Lovetone-Meatball-Filter-w-box-/250810519256?pt=AU_Instrument_Accessories&hash=item3a6578ced8#ht_1279wt_955 http://www.ebay.com/itm/1960s-Ampeg-Scrambler-Vintage-Fuzz-Octave-Unit-Rare-/280737141124?pt=Guitar_Accessories&hash=item415d3cd184#ht_1193wt_1188 http://www.ebay.com/itm/AMPEG-Scrambler-VINTAGE-UNIT-1968-VERY-RARE-/140565355359?pt=Guitar_Accessories&hash=item20ba591b5f#ht_2117wt_1188 Edit: Maybe the Robot Factory Meatwad or a smaller Mu Tron...I could get something other than the BiPhase, I like the III+ or V a lot... Marshalls are the best! love 'em. my dream amp rig would be a JCM 2000 head (already got the combo) with a 1960AX Cab. And a Diesel, but the Marshall's more realistic

Get an old non master volume super lead or super bass. Or the 50 watt equivalent. I'm having a bit of a dilemma with it at the moment...too loud to run full blast, and I'm a bit nervous to run an attenuator with it.

James, tbh if/when I'm in the market for a Marshall (after the Diezel) I'd probably get a clone--really liked those Ceriatones.

James, tbh if/when I'm in the market for a Marshall (after the Diezel) I'd probably get a clone--really liked those Ceriatones. Yeah, they're great amps, and you can't beat the price. If I were you I'd check out the JCM 800 series (ignore what I said earlier ). Maybe the 2204. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ulp0LFGnj_E I had one of those a while back which they beefed up slightly...no idea what they did, but it did the EVH thing incredibly well. Didn't sound quite as raspy as that, had a tighter low end, and more gain. I've got a 2203 (100 watt version) on order actually which I'm sending off to this guy in california to have some mods done. Should be great. Oh and also, more stuff for the G.A.S. list... GMD's luther drive. I've just sent him an email about it, but I don't know if he's still building them or not. edit: he is, and I just bought one also, I know his real name ..... which probably isn't a secret by now

May need something like that at some point--my next amp would in all likelihood be the Diezel, like I said--once I've got that, I can figure out what I can't do between it and the AC30 and compensate. GMD builds peddles? Did not know...what's his name PM me. It's not Jack Black, is it?

james90
1. Is it a tubescreamer? 2. Is he called Jack Black? Started life as a vintage Ibanez TS808 Tubescreamer circuit...I made a few modifications to give it a tighter bottom end, as well as alot more clarity and tonal character. The Tone knob really reacts all the way from 1 to 10. I use all high quality components, and hand build each one from start to finish. It is not a big gain monster, but a sweet-n-subtle overdrive. And as for his real name, surprisingly it's.... NOT jack black Oh and Jim, he builds two pedals (or maybe three, I'm not sure). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cMdwAyTxGDg

JJ
I have come to the conclusion that I really need to ditch my current amp (Super Champ XD)* and get an AC30 and a Hot Rod Deluxe, and run them at the same time. I couldn't care less about the speaker's in them, and if the current models are a bit poo, I just want a new amp(s) dammit! :'( *The "XD" is part of the model name. Not some silly representative of an emoticon. Silly, I know.
